Basketball backboard and rim covers are described. An example basketball backboard and rim cover includes a main body that has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a front, a back, and defines a recess and an opening. The recess extends from the back toward the front. The opening is defined on the front and provides access to the recess. The second portion contacts the first portion and extends away from the front of the first portion. The second portion has a first end, a second end, and defines a chamber that extends from the opening defined by the first portion toward the second end of the second portion.

SIGN AND FABRICATION THEREOF
20240112604 · 2024-04-04 ·

A method of making signs includes printing selected visual content on a surface of material. Punch holes along at least two outer edges of the material. Orient U-stake at an x-axis of the material and thread the leg portions of the stake through the holes. Fold the material over the U-stake along the x-axis of the material, the folding dividing the material into parts, a first part and a second part, and orients the first part and the second part such that a first side of the first part adjacent to a first side of the second part, after the folding, comprise no printed visual content, and a second side of the first part and a second side of the second part comprise outer surfaces and comprise the visual content. Secure the first part to the second part.

Wind-resistant sign assembly
10438519 · 2019-10-08 ·

A wind-resistant sign assembly that includes vertical support members coupled to multiple horizontally oriented sign panels that substantially span a length separating the support members. The sign panels are disposed in a static position, wherein they are disposed at a substantially planar configuration with one another and are operably configured to individually rotate to a dynamic position when exposed to a force generated by incoming wind. The dynamic position includes the front surface of one of the plurality of sign panels disposed at an acute angle with respect to the front surface of at least one other adjacent sign panel, thereby defining a gap between said sign panels to permit the entry and egress of the wind through the sign, and return, through use of one or more hinge and spring members, to the static position.

Vented LED display and method of manufacturing

A vented LED display is described including an LED display panel having a plurality of LEDs disposed thereon and defining a plurality of vent slots between the plurality of LEDs, each of the plurality of vent slots having a vent height. The vented LED display also includes a unitary injection-molded vent having a plurality of louvers and coupled to the LED display panel such that each louver corresponds to at least one vent slot and includes a louver length extending downwardly to at least 75% of the vent height of the corresponding vent slot.

Light-transmitting substrate, display device, signal device, and illumination device

A thin light-transmitting substrate showing high thermal conduction efficiency, and having a function of raising surface temperature thereof is provided. The light-transmitting substrate of the present invention comprises a substrate that transmits at least a light of a predetermined wavelength, and a conductor pattern that is disposed on the substrate, and generates heat to raise temperature of the surface of the substrate when it is supplied with an electric current. The conductor pattern is directly disposed on the substrate without any adhesive layer.

Low Drag Outdoor Media Facade Display
20190005860 · 2019-01-03 · ·

A low drag outdoor media faade display for mounting on a structure susceptible to instability when exposed to strong winds, having an array of radiating elements thinly dispersed about the faade area, held by an array of thin suspension elements, the elements are spaced apart leaving gaps, such that the total surface area of the elements is smaller than the total area of the faade display. A tilting mechanism, active or passive, is operational for tilting the faade display or at least one element thereof. The passive mechanism allows free tilt in response to wind blow, and the elements may include tails. The active mechanism is operational for altering wind load drag profile of the faade display to accommodate wind conditions. The display may be inflatable or collapsible sail-like. A display featuring a liquid spray curtain for refracting or reflecting light projections is a further measure for reducing wind load.

Apparatuses are disclosed, including apparatuses providing a rotatable sign configured with a base, a display panel, and a support, where a portion of the support defines a horizontal axis and is secured to the panel. The base may be configured to hold the support to allow rotation about the horizontal axis, the height of the horizontal axis of the support may be equal to or lower than a midpoint of the panel height. In addition, apparatuses are disclosed that include a counterweight attached to a support, where some or all of the counterweight may be below the horizontal axis of the support when the support is in an initial rotational position, such that it is disposed to return a sign back to its vertical orientation when in use.

Recyclable signage
