A simple sign kit for mounting on top of a barrier post that has only two sheets of flexible material: a mounting part having a first sheet and a sign member having a second sheet. The mounting part has a first edge extending from a first end to a second end of the mounting part; a second edge extending from the first end to the second end; end engaging means adjacent the first end and end engaging means adjacent the second end for engaging the first end with the second end; first sign engaging means adjacent the first edge; second sign engaging means adjacent the first edge; and one or more apertures formed in the mounting part to allow members extending horizontally from an upper end of a barrier post to extend therethrough when the mounting part is mounted on top of a barrier post.

The invention is a flag for indicia that quickly attaches to ESLs with an elastic. The flag's indicia increases the ESL's visibility to shoppers and store personnel, and makes the product more noticeable. The flag can be made out of one piece of material or two, and can accommodate indicia. The flag can also incorporate a mechanical gripper to hold indicia. The flag can be installed or removed very simply with one hand, and self-adjusts to be congruent to the ESL, without any obstructions that would cause the flag to be dislodged by an accidental bump from a shopper or cart. The flag can be made of any printable material.

The barrier post may be a conventional barrier post as used in existing queueing solutions. The sign member may be formed of rigid card or plastic.

The planar sign member can be mounted on the spline of the barrier post to provide a simple sign mounting on the barrier post. The lower element is secured to the upper element by coupling with said receiving elements and adjusting for a friction fit with a second surface, typically the ground. The lower element includes mounting components, the mounting components configured to receive one or more item. Multiple lower elements are utilized to support larger or heavier items. The lower elements are preferentially positioned at fixed points along the length of the upper element.
