AEROSPACE WARNING TAG
A warning tag and process of making the warning tag are provided. The warning tag has a substrate layer, a reflective layer laid on top of the substrate layer, and a negatively printed message on the reflective layer. In some embodiments, the reflective layer is covered with non-reflective ink to form the non-reflective ink coating such that a warning indicia message is left exposed while the surrounding area thereto is covered. A process of making such warning tags is also provided.

PRINTED MATTER
Printed matter that includes a light-transmissive substrate, a laminated clear layer, and a light adjustment layer. The laminated clear layer is disposed above a main surface of the substrate, and is composed of clear element layers that are light-transmissive. The light adjustment layer has a function of adjusting an amount of light transmitted therethrough and is disposed on the laminated clear layer and/or interposed between a plurality of the clear element layers. The adjustment layer includes light reflective particles and covers a portion of a surface of a layer thereunder. Each of the light reflective particles is granular and has a light reflective surface. The light adjustment layer, in terms of surface area ratio in plan view, covers from 2% to 50% of the surface of the layer thereunder.

Retroreflective articles and devices having viscoelastic lightguide
Disclosed herein is an optical device having a light source, a viscoelastic lightguide and a retroreflective film suitable for retroreflecting light. Light from the light source enters the viscoelastic lightguide and is transported within the lightguide by total internal reflection. The optical device may have a “front lit” configuration such that light being transported within the lightguide is extracted and retroreflected by the film toward a viewer. The optical device may have a “back lit” configuration such that light being transported within the lightguide is extracted and transmitted through the film toward a viewer. The retroreflective film may comprise beaded retroreflective sheeting such as that used in traffic signs and markings.

Multilayer identification patches
A multilayer identification patch comprises a reflective layer and a design layer on top of the reflective layer. The design layer comprises an opaque body and at least one identification symbol void (ISV) to allow light to reflect from a portion of the reflective layer via the ISV. The opaque body of the design layer comprises multiple layers of cured photopolymer ink. The multiple layers of cured photopolymer ink comprise an opaque layer of colored photopolymer ink. In one embodiment, the multiple layers of cured photopolymer ink in the opaque body of the design layer further comprise a layer of clear photopolymer ink under the opaque layer of colored photopolymer ink. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Signage overlay article
A signage overlay article includes a polymeric substrate having a thickness in a range from 75 to 1000 micrometers, an optically active sign sheeting fixed to the polymeric substrate, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to the polymeric substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer has a thickness in a range from 350 to 3000 micrometers.
