Deployable tape establishing visibility in field environments
A portable signaling device and method of use in which an elongated reflected strip with a broad and flat profile is held taut in air so that the elongated reflective strip freely twists and rotates along a line formed between a first and a second attachment point of the composite strip when a breeze contacts the broad and flat profile to create a visual signaling display as a result of twisting and rotation of the elongated reflective strip in which the elongated reflected strip is twisted at least once through one hundred and eighty degrees so that a first planar surface and a second planar surface of the elongate reflected strip are visible from a single vantage point.
System and Method for a Retractable Reel Safety Flags on a Strap
In a particular illustrative embodiment of the present invention, a retractable safety banner system and method are disclosed having a retractable safety banner, a reel housing and a reel. The reel winds in and contains the wound up safety banner inside of the reel housing. The safety banner is reeled into and out of the reel housing through an organizing guide that is formed in the reel housing. The organizing guide forces the reeled out safety banner's flags and strap into longitudinal alignment on the reel so that the safety banner is restored to its original configuration when wound back into the reel housing after deployment. The safety banner includes but is not limited to longitudinal strap with a plurality of safety flags attached to the strap and so that the flags hang at a substantially perpendicular angle from the strap forming the safety banner when the safety banner is deployed.
Body-Worn Water Sports Safety Flag Device
A body-worn water sports safety flag device is provided. The device is comprised of a body, a whistle, and a flag and may be worn when a person is performing a water sports activity. The body is made of a waterproof plastic material and is preferably made from a bright or reflective color such that the device is easily identifiable. A flag may be pulled from a pocket of the body if a user falls into the water to provide a visual cue to passengers of boats. Additionally, a whistle may be blown to provide an audio cue to the location of the user.
Portable Apparatus with Deployable Visibility Enhancing Signals
A portable apparatus with deployable visibility enhancing signals includes a backpack member from which a pair of flag members are deployable to extend up and out of the backpack member behind a wearer's shoulders to resemble wings of a beast or an animal. The flag members incorporate bright, visually distinct fabrics, to increase the visibility profile of the wearer. An elongate member, reminiscent of a tail, may also be incorporated and deployed to dangle behind the wearer to augment the semblance of a winged beast or animal.
ANTI-BUMP APPARATUS FOR BELT LOADER
The present technology relates generally to an anti-bump apparatus attached to an end portion of a belt loader and configured to create a space between the end portion and a baggage cart. The anti-bump apparatus includes a shaft portion and a flag portion attached to the shaft portion. The shaft portion is coupled to the end portion of the belt loader with a mounting portion formed from a pivot plate and a mounting plate. The pivot plate is pivotable relative to the mounting plate allowing the anti-bump apparatus to be in either a stowed position or a deployed position. A locking mechanism formed from a locking pin in the pivot plate and a plurality of locking pin holes in the mounting plate ensure that the anti-bump apparatus does not prematurely transition from one position to the other.
High Visibility Aerial Landing System
A high visibility aerial landing system for providing improved visibility and landing indication at short range or close range for a helicopter to help distinguish between safe or preferred landing zones from hazardous landing zones. The system has a flexible panel, a mooring assembly, and an indicator system. Further embodiments are specialized to be carried by the EMS or hikers.
Safety Flag Assembly
A safety flag assembly is disclosed. In accordance with some embodiments, the disclosed assembly may include an attachment element, such as a spring clamp, configured to be attached to a given mounting surface. The assembly also may include a safety flag, which may meet or exceed local and/or federal Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. The assembly further may include a coupling element, such as a carabiner or keyring, which may be inserted through an eyelet of the safety flag and an aperture of the attachment element to effectuate coupling thereof in a temporary or permanent manner. In some instances, the safety flag may be further compatible for use, for example, with a dowel/rod, flagpole, bungee cord, or rope in providing safety marking.
Integrally Lit Color Signal Flags For Motor Racing
Signal flags for use in motor racing which are shown or waved by section signalers/observers on racing courses and respectively consist of a colored flag cloth as well as a flag rod provided with a handle. On the flag cloth is at least one light emitting element is provided, preferably in the form of an electric blinking lamp which emits light with a high intensity in the same color as the flag cloth.
FOLDABLE SPACEFRAME AND METHOD OF SETTING UP SPACEFRAME STRUCTURE
Foldable spaceframes that can be easily collapsed and unfolded to construct structurally stable (temporary) walls, for instance for events (concerts, shows, etc.) upon which (digital) display elements can be deployed, as well as a method for the construction of overlying structures comprising the spaceframes.
WARNING DEVICE
The present invention provides a device for displaying hazard indicia, having a stanchion defining a first end and a second end, whereby the first end defines a first cross section that is smaller than a second cross section of the second end; a base adapted to removably receive the second end of the stanchion so as to maintain the stanchion in a vertical position; and a means for allowing the device to be collinearly stacked on top of a second device such that only the second end of the device and the second end of the second device contact.
