Curling device
A curling device comprising a flap and a channel connected to each other. A curling member having an elongated shape and a curved cross-section is implemented in the channel. The curling member is capable of transitioning between an extended configuration and a curled configuration. The channel has a curved cross-section corresponding to the curling member's curved cross-section, which creates a trough, whereby hair can be positioned in the trough and held therein by wrapping the flap over the trough and around the channel. Transitioning the curling member from an extended configuration to a curled configuration holds the flap and the hair in a curved configuration, which imparts a curl to the hair when the hair is held in the curled configuration for some time.
Resilient fiber retainers and methods of externally wrapping and shaping fiber with the same
Retainers hold a fiber bundle rotated through a length of the retainer via a gap in the retainer that can be widened by stretching the same and closed by release and further by rotating the fiber. The retainer may be single-piece parallelepiped, cylinder, prism, etc. bearing an outermost surface on which the bundle can wind and be supported. The retainer is fabricated of a resilient elastic like natural rubber or a synthetic rubber such as styrene-butadiene rubber. Methods pass the bundle through the gap and then wind it around the retainer before passing it back through the gap. The bundle may be inserted and/or wound for any length of the bundle and may include spacing in each turn so as to expose the underlying retainer through each turn. The bundle may be held in the wound position for any desired amount of time and then removed.

HAIR HOLDER AND HAIR TREATMENT METHOD USING SAME
A hair holder (1) of the present invention has a tubular body (2) which has: a first opening (21) located at one end; and a second opening (22) located at the other end, and which is configured to allow a lock of hair (H) to be inserted from the first opening (21) toward the second opening (22) and to be capable of being rolled up. The tubular body (2) has a longitudinal direction and a width direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The tubular body (2) has two sheets that form outer surfaces. At least one of the two sheets is formed of a color-changeable sheet that satisfies conditions (1) and (2) below: (1) an L* value in an L*a*b* color coordinate space is 90 or less; and (2) a color difference ΔE*.sub.ab value in the L*a*b* color coordinate space between before and after impregnation with a standard hair treatment agent is 1.0 or greater. The standard hair treatment agent contains ammonium thioglycolate in an amount of 6 mass %, ammonium hydrogencarbonate in an amount of 2 mass %, and disodium edetate in an amount of 0.5 mass %, the balance being water, and the standard hair treatment agent is adjusted to a pH of 8.4 at 20° C. using a 28 mass % aqueous solution of ammonia.

HAIR TREATMENT METHOD AND HAIR HOLDER
The present invention provides a hair treatment method for curling a lock of hair (H) using a hair holder (1). The hair holder (1) includes a tubular body (2) which has an opening (21) located at a first end of the tubular body and an opening (22) located at a second end of the tubular body, and which is configured to allow a lock of hair (H) to be inserted from the opening (21) toward the opening (22) and to be capable of being rolled up. The hair treatment method includes an insertion step of inserting a lock of hair (H) into the tubular body (2); a rolling-up step of rolling up the tubular body (2) together with the lock of hair (H) inserted in the tubular body (2) thereby to form a roll-shaped, lock-of-hair holding body (3) in which the opening (22) is located on the center side roll-shaped, lock-of-hair holding body (3) of the roll-shaped, lock-of-hair holding body (3); a deforming step of deforming the tubular body (2) into a helix form by pulling out a portion of the lock-of-hair holding body (3), the portion being located on the center side, toward a lateral side of the lock-of-hair holding body (3); and a curling treatment step of performing a curling treatment of the lock of hair (H) while maintaining the tubular body (2) in the helix form.
Hair roller
A dual member hair roller device designed to produce spiral curls for hair lengths that vary from medium short to very long and comprised of a flexible, permeable, elongated supporting roller body with a lateral surface that is capable of gripping fabric; and a detached, elastic, permeable fabric sleeve that safely and securely affixes to the gripping surface of the roller body.
HAIR HOLDING TOOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A hair holder (1) includes a tubular body (2) that is constituted by a sheet and through which a bundle of hair can be inserted from an opening (21) at a one end toward an opening (22) at the other end, and has a flat shape. The tubular body (2) includes a first surface sheet (23A) and a second surface sheet (23B) that are located on the inside and the outside, respectively, in a state in which the hair holder (1) is rolled up. Side regions of the first surface sheet (23A) and side regions of the second surface sheet (23B) are joined to each other, thereby forming a pair of side joined regions (24) in the tubular body (2). The side joined regions (24) have a plurality of second-surface-sheet-side recesses (25) along a longitudinal direction (X) of the side joined regions (24), the recesses being recessed from the second surface sheet (23B) side toward the first surface sheet (23A) side.
