The display system is interfaced with a portable computing device (e.g., a personal data assistant), where the portable computing device provides updated messages to be displayed on a display panel. The display system includes at least one display panel mounted on one side of a bus, facing outwards such that the display panels may be readily seen when the bus goes around. The display panel is mainly for displaying messages provided by the portable computing device but also for displaying default messages in a local storage device.

A starting location of the specific event may also be determined based on at least one of: the real-time traffic density information or real-time location information of the plurality of advertisement vehicles. Then, driving route guidance with an initial destination set to the starting location of the specific event is sent to the plurality of advertisement vehicles such that the plurality of advertisement vehicles convenes at the starting location of the specific event.

Provided is a method of detecting an attentive user to provide personalized content on a display. People proximate to a display are identified. Upon such identification, a user attentive to the display is detected amongst the people proximate to the display. Identity of the attentive user is determined and personalized content is displayed based on the identity of the attentive user.

A display device capable of performing proper display without image signal conversion is provided. In the case of high-resolution display, individual data is supplied to each pixel through a first signal line and a first transistor included in each pixel. In the case of low-resolution display, the same data is supplied to a plurality of pixels through a second signal line and a second transistor electrically connected to the plurality of pixels. When the number of image signals to be displayed is more than one and the image signals support different resolutions, display can be performed without up conversion or down conversion by switching an image signal supply path as described above.
