Methods, devices, and computer-program products are provided for adding data to a digital video signal in a visually imperceptible manner. For example, a region of pixels can be identified in a video frame, and one or more pixel characteristics of the region of pixels can be determined. Based on the one or more pixel characteristics of the region of pixels, at least one pixel characteristic of a subset of pixels from the region of pixels can be modified in order to encode a set of data into the region of pixels. An output frame can be provided that includes the modified at least one pixel characteristics for the subset of pixels.
SHARED TERMINAL, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A shared terminal includes: circuitry to control a display to display an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal, and obtain, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; a transmitter to transmit, to a terminal management server, an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to allow login of the first user into the shared terminal, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; and a receiver to receive an authentication result indicating whether the first privately-owned terminal is authenticated to allow login of the first user, from the terminal management server. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal and login of the first user is successful, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen for allowing the plurality of users including the first user to draw an image. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is not a legitimate terminal and login of the first user fails, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen with an error message.
Magnetic scanning device and method for image generation
A magnetic scanning method includes acquiring an image from a storage device of a magnetic scanning device, controlling a magnetic read-write head of the magnetic scanning device to touch a reference point on a plane, generating an electric signal which reflects relevant information of the acquired image, inputting the electric signal reflecting the relevant information of the acquired image to the magnetic read-write head, when the electric signal reflecting the relevant information of the acquired image flows through the magnetic read-write head, controlling the magnetic read-write head to generate a magnetic field corresponding to the electric signal, controlling the magnetic read-write head to move and scan the plane from the reference point, to magnetize the magnetic powder on the plane by the magnetic field, and driving the magnetic powder to move relatively to generate an image similar to the acquired image.
ELECTRIC LIGHTING DEVICE WITH DISPLAY
Various embodiments of electric lighting devices are described that have a display screen configured to display one or more images or video of a flame. The devices have a housing with the display screen extending from the upper surface. A circuit board can be disposed within the housing and connected to the display screen to thereby power and send data to the screen. Where the display screen is transparent when off, this allows the display screen to be less visible to users.

Methods, devices, and computer-program products are provided for adding data to a digital video signal in a visually imperceptible manner. An output frame can be provided that includes the modified at least one pixel characteristics for the subset of pixels.

Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for augmenting a physical writing surface. In various implementations, a device includes a display, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the display and the non-transitory memory. In various implementations, a method includes presenting, via the display, a pass-through representation of a physical writing surface that corresponds to an application installed on the device. In some implementations, the method includes detecting a difference between the physical writing surface and an electronic record stored in association with the application. In some implementations, the method includes overlaying an element on the pass-through representation of the physical writing surface based on the difference between the physical writing surface and the electronic record.
System for providing continuous viewable indicia for reminders and for inducing viewer actions
A system for providing patients with dementia or other cognitive impairment with instructions and reminders of tasks to enable them to live with minimum third party oversight. The system provides for a continuous display of viewable indicia of at least one of text or images to provide the patient messages. The messages may be generated by a remote third party or software running on a computer. Employing the system, a remote user such as the child of a patient can provide instruction and reminders to the patient allowing them to live with minimal supervision.
MAGNETIC SCANNING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMAGE GENERATION
A magnetic scanning method includes acquiring an image from a storage device of a magnetic scanning device, controlling a magnetic read-write head of the magnetic scanning device to touch a reference point on a plane, generating an electric signal which reflects relevant information of the acquired image, inputting the electric signal reflecting the relevant information of the acquired image to the magnetic read-write head, when the electric signal reflecting the relevant information of the acquired image flows through the magnetic read-write head, controlling the magnetic read-write head to generate a magnetic field corresponding to the electric signal, controlling the magnetic read-write head to move and scan the plane from the reference point, to magnetize the magnetic powder on the plane by the magnetic field, and driving the magnetic powder to move relatively to generate an image similar to the acquired image.

Embodiments of the present invention can. in response to receiving information, map an environment comprising one or more electronic devices. Embodiments of the present invention can then dynamically update the mapped environment based on the received information. Embodiments of the present invention can then display the updated environment on display areas of respective electronic devices of the one or more electronic devices.
