Augmented reality personal assistant apparatus
Various embodiments of an intelligent augmented reality personal assistant apparatus integrated (or co-packaged) with an eye motion sensor, a microprocessor or an intelligent microprocessor and an intelligent rendering algorithm are disclosed. Such an augmented reality personal assistant apparatus can interpret/analyze/learn activities, communication or contextual information of a user and recommend relevant and useful information to the user.
Coupling display device and tiled display device having the same
A tile display device includes element display devices, each including an element display panel which defines a display area and a panel driver disposed on a seam area surrounding the display area, and a coupling display device disposed on element display devices and coupled to the element display devices at neighboring seam areas. The coupling display device includes a boundary display panel on the neighboring seam areas, a coupler which couples the boundary display panel to the element display panels to provide a coupling panel structure, a boundary driver which drives the boundary display panel and a signal control center which drives the coupling panel structure.
Display System and Vehicle
A display system and vehicle that have novel structures are provided. The display system includes a display panel, a correction circuit, and a memory circuit. The display panel is flexible. The display panel includes a display region and a non-display region. The memory circuit has a function of storing first data about the display region and second data about the non-display region. The non-display region has a region which overlaps with the display region when the display panel is bent. The correction circuit has a function of generating image data to be written to pixels in the display region on the basis of the first data and the second data.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device according to an embodiment may include a controller and a display unit. The controller may perform tone mapping for adjusting luminance of input image data, and the display unit may display an image according to output image data whose luminance is adjusted by the tone mapping. The controller may generate a base mapping curve for an entire region from the input image data, extract information for each local region of the entire region, and generate a local mapping curve reflecting the information for each local region with respect to each local region to perform tone mapping.
System and method for realtime LED viewing angle correction
A video display device includes LED pixels, a memory, and a processor. The processor receives video data that includes video pixels that correspond to the LED pixels. For at least some of the video pixels, the processor calculates a viewing angle for the LED pixel based on (i) a 3D location and optical axis vector for the LED pixel and (ii) a 3D location of a viewer of the LED pixel. The processor calculates a gain factor for the LED pixel based on the viewing angle and a relationship between pixel intensity and pixel viewing angle for the LED pixel. The processor calculates a compensated brightness for the LED pixel based on the gain factor and a brightness of the video pixel. The processor causes the LED pixel to emit light having the compensated brightness.
Control device, presentation system, and computer readable non-transitory storage medium
A control device includes a control unit that controls such that visual information is continuously presented from a first position to a second position, which is different from the first position, when a first state in which an operation target, which is a target to be operated by a user, is operated by an operation executing unit that operates the operation target, instead of the user, is switched to a second state in which the operation target is operated by the user.
Curved display and a driving method thereof
A curved display device includes a curved panel including a plurality of pixels, and an image compensation processor. The image compensation processor is configured to convert a first image signal into a second image signal by scaling the first image signal based on a curvature of the curved panel and a viewing distance between a viewer and the curved panel, map the second image signal onto corresponding pixels of the curved panel, and provide the mapped second image signal to the corresponding pixels of the curved panel.
Context based peripheral management for interacting with an information handling system
A device manager at an information handling system analyzes end user interactions with peripheral devices to prioritize the peripheral devices based upon applications and display devices. The device manager monitors end user interactions with the information handling system to suggest a peripheral device for an end user to use based upon applications executing at the information handling system and the display device through which the end user interacts. For example, capacitive stylus and totem devices are suggested to aid interactions with capacitive mat display devices.
Peripheral image processing for display screen with a curved surface
Provided is an image processing device that includes: an image generation section configured to generate a peripheral image in an outer periphery of a first frame image to generate a second frame image that includes the first frame image and the peripheral image; and a coordinate conversion section configured to perform coordinate conversion on the second frame image to generate a third frame image.
Display device
A display device includes a substrate and a connector. The substrate includes a display area, a first pad area, and a second pad area. The display area has a plurality of pixels. The first pad area and the second pad area are adjacent respective sides of the display area and are connected to different ones of the pixels. The connector connects the first pad area and the second pad area when the substrate is bent.
