A display device includes a flexible display panel in which a valid display area viewable to a user is extended or reduced, a touch sensing part overlapping the flexible display panel and including first sensing electrodes and second sensing electrodes intersecting the first sensing electrodes, a touch driver for providing driving signals to the first sensing electrodes, and detecting a touch by using sensing signals supplied from the second sensing electrodes, and a display driver for driving the flexible display panel such that an image is displayed in the valid display area. The touch driver controls at least one of hidden driving signals and hidden sensing signals, which correspond to a hidden display area of the flexible display panel which is not viewable to the user, to be different from at least one of the driving signals and the sensing signals, which correspond to the valid display area.

Embodiments of the present application relate to the field of display driving technology, and disclose a method, an apparatus, an electronic device and a storage medium for processing pixel data. The method comprises: acquiring first image parameters of a first image unit and second image parameters of a second image unit, wherein the first image unit includes pixel data, of a first image, which is located on a first horizontal line, the second image unit includes pixel data, of a second image, which is located on the first horizontal line, and the second image is a previous frame of the first image; and updating the pixel data of the first image unit when the first image parameters do not match the second image parameters. The embodiments of the present application solve the problem of high driving power consumption in the process of outputting screens of the display panel in the prior art.

The processor implements the method, including: when a touch input is detected to the display within the biometric sensing area, increase a brightness of a first pixel group within the biometric sensing area to a first brightness level, and execute at least one of maintaining and changing display of a second pixel group outside the biometric sensing area and, wherein the at least one of maintaining and changing display of the second pixel group includes one of: executing a black state in which display through the second pixel group is disabled, and changing a display attribute for the second pixel group such that a load on the second pixel group is reduced.

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, and a panel driver including N registers, where N is an integer greater than 1. The panel driver is configured to divide the display panel into N first detection regions, to perform a first still image detection operation on each of the N first detection regions by using the N registers, to divide the display panel into N second detection regions different from the N first detection regions by using a result of the first still image detection operation, and to perform a second still image detection operation on each of the N second detection regions by using the N registers.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel including a display area which displays images, a plurality of light sources irradiating light to display an image on the display area and a control unit which sequentially causes the plurality of light source, which correspond to a plurality of areas divided from the display area, to emit light for each of the areas. The control unit repeatedly causes the light source, which corresponds to an area specified from the plurality of areas based on the image, to emit light during one frame period of displaying an image on the display area.

Disclosed herein are techniques to provide notification of the type and/or attributes of frame updates. A platform can notify a panel of further frame updates, whether the frame update is a full frame update or a partial frame update and attributes of the frame update. The platform can notify the panel of information about the frame update during a vertical blanking interval by asserting a command or signaling the panel using selected symbols during the vertical blanking interval.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display panel having first and second display areas. A data driver provides data and bias voltages to data lines. A timing controller controls the data driver and a scan driver based on at least two operation modes. The first mode drives the first and second display areas at a normal frequency, and the second mode drives the first display area at a first frequency substantially equal to or lower than the normal frequency and the second display area at a second frequency lower than the first frequency. The second mode includes an active frame to write a reference voltage to display a black image in the second display area, and blank frames to maintain the reference voltage and apply the bias voltage to the pixels in the second display area. The data driver varies the bias voltage in the blank frames.
