METHOD OF WAVELENGTH SELECTION AND APPARATUS
20230206869 · 2023-06-29 ·

A method of wavelength selection and a communication apparatus is applied to fields such as optical communication, optical switching, digital central networks, microwave photonics, liquid crystal antennas, optical phased arrays, beam forming, beam scanning, laser radars, laser projection, laser televisions, holographic display, adaptive optics, laser beam shaping, laser processing, ultrafast laser pulse shaping, laser active imaging, optical tomography scanning, and retinal imaging. When port switching occurs in a WSS apparatus, only image data of a changed local image of an LCoS image is updated within each time interval that is shorter than duration of one image frame, and a driving voltage for a pixel on the LCoS display screen is refreshed based on a priority.

DISPLAY DRIVING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A display driving apparatus includes a source driving circuit supplying a first source signal to a first display area to display a first image and supply a second source signal to a second display area to sense characteristics of a pixels of the second display area when a display panel operates in a hybrid mode, the second display area being in a turn-off state during the hybrid mode, a gate driving circuit supplying a gate pulse to first gate lines of the first display area and supply the gate pulse to target gate lines of the second display area, a timing controller transferring first image data for the first image and sensing data for sensing to the source driving circuit and compensate for second image data for a second image which is to be displayed after the first image, based on a target compensation value obtained from a sensing result.

Electronic paper display and driving method thereof

An electronic paper display and a driving method thereof are provided. The electronic paper display includes an electronic paper display panel, a touch panel and a processing circuit. The touch panel outputs a first touch coordinate of a current touch and a second touch coordinate of a next touch. The processing circuit executes a filter module and a line drawing module. The filter module outputs a first measured position data and a first predicted position data to the line drawing module. The line drawing module drives the electronic paper display panel to display a first predicted track. The filter module outputs a second measured position data to the line drawing module. The line drawing module determines whether a second track display coordinate corresponding to the second measured position data is equal to the first predicted display coordinate to correct the first predicted track.

TEMPORARILY INCREASED REFRESH RATE FOR A DISPLAY PANEL IN LOW POWER MODE

In one example, an apparatus comprises a display panel having a first active mode with a first refresh rate and at least one of a first bit depth or a first brightness, and further having a second active mode with a second refresh rate and at least one of a second bit depth or a second brightness, the second refresh rate being lower than the first refresh rate, the second bit depth being lower than the first bit depth, and the second brightness being lower than the first brightness. The apparatus further comprises a controller. In response to receiving an image update request while the display panel is in the second active mode, the controller is configured to otherwise keep the display panel in the second active mode but switch the display panel to an intermediate refresh rate higher than the second refresh rate until completion of the image update request.

Display devices showing multimedia in multiple resolutions with eye tracking
20170365230 · 2017-12-21 ·

Techniques for displaying a multimedia in at least two resolutions are discussed. Depending on implementation, a resolution can be a spatial resolution, an intensity level resolution, or both. A display device is designed to ensure better resolution in an area (region of focus or ROF) being focused by eyes of a viewer while relatively poor resolution in the area surrounding the ROF. The ROF moves accordingly with the motion of the pupil. As a result, the perceived resolution by the user remains high while the memory requirement for displaying such media is significantly reduced.

DISPLAY DEVICE PERFORMING MULTI-FREQUENCY DRIVING, AND METHOD OF OPERATING A DISPLAY DEVICE

A display device includes a display panel including a first partial panel region and a second partial panel region, and a panel driver which drives the display panel. The panel driver determines a first driving frequency for the first partial panel region and a second driving frequency for the second partial panel region. In a case where the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency are different from each other, the panel driver sets a boundary portion including a boundary between the first partial panel region and the second partial panel region, and determines a third driving frequency for the boundary portion to be between the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency.
