Image processing system creating a field sequential color using Delta Sigma pulse density modulation for a digital display
11640805 · 2023-05-02 ·

A device and method of an image processing system where a Field Sequential Color Delta Sigma Pulse Density Modulation is used for digital displays, where the digital displays are non-emissive. The device and method are a digital driving solution using Delta Sigma Encoding where N bit-per-component symbols at F1 frame-rate-per-second are represented using M bits-per-component symbols at F2 frame-rate-per-second, where N≥M and F2≥F1. The F2 frames are sent to a sequential color picker, which outputs frames with one color, followed by the next in a sequential pattern which reduces power consumption, increases color saturation, increases contrast, and increases brightness.

Dynamic alignment of mobile device content

An embodiment for adjusting digital content in a flexible display device is provided. The embodiment may include receiving data relating to a position and orientation of a reference device relative to a user. The embodiment may also include identifying an orientation of a display surface of a mobile device and a relative position of the mobile device relative to a viewing direction of the user. The embodiment may further include identifying an optimal viewing angle of display content on the display surface of the mobile device. The embodiment may also include in response to determining the display content is not able to be displayed as a hologram, aligning the display content as text based on the optimal viewing angle. The embodiment may further include presenting the aligned display content as text to the user.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HEAD UP DISPLAY OF VEHICLE

An apparatus and method for controlling a head-up display of a vehicle includes a navigation device that determines a remaining distance from a location of the vehicle to a driving direction change point, a display device that displays vehicle information as an augmented reality image, and a controller configured for determining a vehicle speed at a point where the remaining distance is a specified distance, and determines a projection time point of the augmented reality image based on to the vehicle speed. Therefore, it is possible to provide a safe driving to the driver by allowing the driver to easily recognize the augmented reality image in consideration of the vehicle speed.

Embodiments of the present application disclose various light field display control methods and apparatuses and various light field display devices, wherein a light field display control method disclosed comprises: sampling a source image according to interest level distribution information of the source image; determining a light field image corresponding to the sampled source image; adjusting display pixel density distribution of a display of a light field display device at least according to the interest level distribution information; and displaying the light field image via the adjusted light field display device. The technical solution provided in the embodiments of the present application can make full use of pixels of the display of the light field display device to present differential spatial resolution of different regions of a light field display image.

REDUCING BURN-IN OF DISPLAYED IMAGES

Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems generate an object in a portion of an electronic display. The object is generated as a shape formed by a pattern of a first plurality of pixels being illuminated for a first sequence of frames and a second plurality of pixels not being illuminated for the first sequence of frames. During the first sequence of frames, each set of illuminated pixels from the first plurality of pixels is separated from another set of illuminated pixels by a set of non-illuminated pixels of the second plurality of pixels. In response to an event, the object in the portion of the electronic display is generated by illuminating pixels of the second plurality of pixels for a second sequence of frames and not illuminating pixels within the first plurality of pixels for the second sequence of frames.
