SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING RADIO TRANSCRIPTION TEXT IN A LIMITED DISPLAY AREA
Disclosed is a flight deck system comprising a controller for displaying message content from an ATC conversation. The controller is configured to: receive extracted message content from a plurality of messages; and generate a ticker tape graphical element having a first panel and a second panel for display as an overlay over a primary display on an aircraft display device. The first panel has a main panel for displaying message content for a most recently received message and one or more subsidiary panels for displaying message content for up to a first predetermined number of the most recently received messages. The second panel has a bookmark main panel for displaying message content for a second predetermined number of the most recently received bookmarked messages and one or more bookmark subsidiary panels for displaying message content for a third predetermined number of the most recently received bookmarked messages.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO FACILITATE REGIONAL PROCESSING OF IMAGES FOR UNDER-DISPLAY DEVICE DISPLAYS
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for display processing. For example, disclosed techniques facilitate regional processing of images for under-display device displays. Aspects of the present disclosure can identify a subsection of a set of frame layers, the identified subsection corresponding to a lower pixel density region, relative to at least one other region, of a display. Aspects of the present disclosure can also blend first pixel data for each frame layer corresponding to the identified subsection to generate second pixel data. Further, aspects of the present disclosure can populate a buffer layer based on the second pixel data. Additionally, aspects of the present disclosure can blend pixel data from the set of frame layers and the buffer layers to generate a blended image. Aspects of the present disclosure can also transmit the blended image for presentment via the display.
SUPPLY OF MULTI-LAYER EXTENDED REALITY IMAGES TO A USER
An apparatus that supplies multi-plane images for viewing by a user includes an image generator, an image director, and a first output port. The image generator generates a first image to be seen by the user as being a first distance from a user point of view, and a second image to be seen by the user as being a second distance from the user point of view The first image is comprised of a number of optical wavelength components, and the second image is comprised of the number of optical wavelength components. The image director is configured to direct the first image to traverse a first optical path to the first output port of the apparatus, and to direct the second image to traverse a second optical path to the first output port of the apparatus. The first optical path corresponds to the first distance and the second optical path corresponds to the second distance. The first optical path and the second optical path have different lengths. The first output port is configured to connect to a first optical waveguide that is configured to guide the number of optical wavelength components to a user display device.
Dual-mode augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) near-eye wearable displays
A dual-mode augmented/virtual reality near-eye wearable display for use with a curved lens element. The lenses are provided with one or more transparent waveguide elements that are disposed within the thickness of the lenses. The waveguide elements are configured to couple display images directly from image sources such as emissive display imagers to an exit aperture or plurality of exit aperture sub-regions within a viewer's field of view. In a preferred embodiment, a plurality of image sources are disposed on the peripheral surface of the lenses whereby each image source has a dedicated input image aperture and exit aperture sub-region that are each “piecewise flat” and have matched areas and angles of divergence whereby a viewer is presented with the output of the plurality of image source images within the viewer's field of view.
User interface for image-based rendering of virtual tours
Under an embodiment of the invention, a computer system includes a user interface (UI) for virtual tours of modeled real estate. The UI includes three ways to navigate the modeled real estate. The first navigation element is a 3D UI element that provides a 3D view of the property and enables the user to freely navigate in the XY plane of the virtual model. The second navigation element is a 2D map of the real property overlaid on a portion of the 3D UI element. The 2D map overlay enables navigation in the XY plane of the virtual model. The third navigation element is a 1D text element of the real property overlaid on a portion of the 3D UI element. The 1D text overlay enables navigation along the Z axis or the XY plane of the virtual model.
Video display control apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium
A video display control apparatus receives a video content generated by a control target device in accordance with a control operation of a user via a network and displays the received video content on a head mount display attached to the user. The video display control apparatus includes a detection unit that detects a change in a direction of face or line of sight related to the control operation and a first display control unit that generates an auxiliary pattern in which at least one of a display position and a display form changes so as to follow the detected change in the direction of the face or the line of sight related to the control operation, superimposes the auxiliary pattern on the video content, and displays the video content on the head mount display.
