Electronic device having bended display and method for controlling the same
An electronic device having a bended display and a method for controlling the same. The electronic device includes a front display area and at least two separate side display areas that are physically connected with at least one side of the front display area and form a convex curved surface in at least one space between the front and the rear of the electronic device. The electronic device also includes and a non-display area that physically connects at least two side display areas of the at least two separate side display areas and forms a convex double curvature surface in at least another space between the front and the rear of the electronic device. The at least two physically connected side display areas may be bent in directions so that an acute angle, a right angle or an obtuse angle is formed.
Projector and projector control method
The present technology relates to a projector and a projector control method that make it possible to improve the security of the projector. The projector includes a storage section and a communication control section. The storage section stores a connection destination list indicative of equipment connectable to the projector. In a case where the projector is to be connected to another equipment through a network, the communication control section controls connection to the other equipment according to the connection destination list. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a projector or the like that is to be connected to another equipment through a network.
Electronic device including display on which execution screen for multiple applications is displayed, and method for operation of electronic device
The present invention provides an electronic device including a display and a processor operationally connected with the display to control the display. The processor displays a first execution screen corresponding to a first application on a main region, displays a second execution screen corresponding to a second application, on a first sub-region among a plurality of sub-regions displaying execution screens corresponding to a plurality of applications other than the first application, and increases a size of the first sub-region based on an input to the second application to display the increased first sub-region as an expanded first sub-region. The expanded first sub-region is overlapped with at least a portion of the main region and/or at least a portion of a second sub-region which is a sub-region other than the first sub-region, and the expanded first sub-region is visually displayed as an upper layer than the main region and the second sub-region. In addition to the above, various embodiments identified through the specification are possible.
Method for managing the display of a least one information item, and associated computer program product, information medium and display system
A method for managing a display of at least one information item relating to a device disposed in a location, including: supplying, to the data processing unit, at least one first image of the device, generating, by the data processing unit, in a memory, a representation of the location including at least one template of the device, the template being composed of a parallelepiped or of a plurality of parallelepipeds, superimposing the first image on a face to form a representation, positioning, on the representation, a point of interest including an information item to be displayed relating to the device, generating an enriched image from the representation, and a step of display of displaying the enriched image on a screen.
Vehicle control apparatus and vehicle display system
The vehicle control apparatus for controlling the electronic device provided in the vehicle includes: an operation state detection unit for detecting at least one operation state of the vehicle; a plurality of internal circuits provided for operating the electronic device; and an energization control unit that energizes at least one of the internal circuits determined based on the at least one operation state.
IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM AND INFORMATION DISPLAY APPARATUS
An information display apparatus that displays image information on a vehicle includes a HUD apparatus projecting a large-scale virtual image onto a distant position and serving as a first information display apparatus 100 arranged between a windshield glass 6 of the vehicle and an instrument panel, and effectively displays a plurality of pieces of the image information by making coordination with a second information display apparatus 48 close to the windshield glass 6, the second information display apparatus causing a transparent dispersion sheet in the windshield glass to directly reflect a screen of a large-scale high-resolution image display panel so that the screen is observed by the driver.
DISPLAY CYCLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A display system modifies display cycles of one or more displays to perform a system operation while avoiding visual perturbations at the one or more displays. The display system modifies, synchronizes, or both, blanking periods of the one or more displays such that blanking periods equal or exceed a blackout duration and overlap for at least the blackout duration. Then the system performs the system operation during an overlapping portion of the one or more blanking periods, where the system operation reduces availability of display data at the one or more displays.
FOLLOWER MODE VIDEO OPERATION
A method may include receiving, via a processor, a frame of image data, such that the frame of image data may include an active portion and an idle portion. The active portion may include data for presenting one or more images via a first display of a first electronic device. The method may also include receiving a signal from a second electronic device during the idle portion of the frame of image data, such that the second electronic device is separate from the first display. The method may then involve initiating processing of the frame of image data in response to the signal being received from the second electronic device.
System and method for presenting data at variable quality
A method of presenting visual information on a screen (306) involves defining a boundary (314) delineating a first region of the screen (which may be towards a centre of the screen) from a second region of the screen (which may be towards a periphery of the screen), displaying a first portion of the visual information in the first region of the screen at a first display quality, and displaying a second portion of the visual information in the second region of the screen at a second, lower, display quality. The method further involves blurring the visual information for display in at least a portion of the second region. The location of the boundary (314) may change over time, and may be based on where a user is looking, or is expected to be looking, or on the type of information being displayed or based on other parameters.
Data authorization controlling and matching system capable of customizing data accessing authorization
A data authorization controlling and matching system includes a receiver, a plurality of display devices, and at least one transmitter. The receiver is used for receiving an image signal. The plurality of display devices are coupled to the receiver for displaying the image signal. The at least one transmitter is coupled to the receiver for outputting the image signal. After a member list saved in the receiver is configured, a data link between the receiver and the at least one transmitter is established. Hardware information of the at least one transmitter is saved in the receiver. The receiver automatically identifies the at least one transmitter according to the hardware information of the at least one transmitter. After the at least one transmitter is identified, the receiver sets authorization information of the at least one transmitter.
