CAPSULES FOR USE IN PERSONAL VAPORIZERS

Capsules are provided for holding material within a vaporization chamber of a personal or portable vaporization device. Each capsule comprises a cap and a cup, each with a corresponding base wall having air inlet/outlet holes therein. The capsules are provided with first and second standoff structures that position the respective capsule to avoid occlusion of the air inlet/outlet holes by surfaces of the oven and/or lid that form the vaporization chamber. During use of the vaporization device, the capsule design encourages air to flow through the material held within the capsule via the air inlet/outlet holes, rather than flowing around the capsule to bypass the material held therein. In some embodiments, the capsules include tamper-resistant features that prevent separation of the cap and cup once assembled, thereby protecting the material held within the capsule.

An aerosol-generating article (500) includes an aerosol-forming substrate (511) and an absorbent carrier (512) impregnated or impregnatable with an aerosol former. The aerosol-generating article may be received in an aerosol-generating device that includes a heating element for heating the aerosol-forming substrate. The system may be configured such that the absorbent carrier is disposed between the aerosol-forming substrate and the heating element. As the aerosol generating article is heated, the aerosol former impregnated in the absorbent carrier may improve aerosol formation.

The present disclosure provides aerosol generating substrates and aerosol source members comprising aerosol generating substrates, as well as methods of manufacturing thereof. In an example implementation, an aerosol generating substrate may comprise a fibrous filler material, an aerosol forming material, and a plurality of heat conducting constituents, wherein the substrate is formed as a sheet, and wherein the heat conducting constituents are part of the sheet. The heat conducting constituents may be incorporated within the sheet, or may be formed on a surface of the sheet. In another example implementation, an aerosol source member may comprise a substrate portion formed of a collection of intermingled pieces cut from an aerosol substrate sheet. In addition, or alternatively, a substrate portion may be formed of a series of overlapping layers of an aerosol substrate sheet.

The contents of the cartridge are liberated via hot air and active ingredients are delivered to the user via heating and not burning. The cartridge is made of disposable and/or biodegradable materials to reduce ecological impact.

SHISHA CARTRIDGE

A shisha cartridge comprises a body defining a cavity. An aerosol-forming substrate is disposed in the cavity. The cartridge also comprises a heatable surface area. The ratio of the heatable surface area of the cartridge to the volume of the cavity is in a range from about 1 cm.sup.−1 to about 4 cm.sup.−1. The maximum inner width of the cavity may be 4 cm. The height of the cavity may be 3 cm or greater.
