The electronic device includes a display, a camera module configured to be positioned below the display, a memory configured to store instructions, and a processor configured to be functionally connected to the display, the camera module, and the memory, wherein the processor is configured, by executing the instructions, to cause the electronic device to identify a change in an operating state of the camera module while displaying a predetermined image in an area of the display surrounding the camera module, change a size of the area surrounding the camera module in response to identifying the change in the operating state of the camera module, and display the predetermined image in the changed area.

A noise measurement device for measuring noise of a test image displayed on a display device including a display panel and an input sensor configured to sense an external input, includes a luminance meter, a converter, and a determiner. The luminance meter is configured to: measure a luminance of the test image in a state in which the input sensor is turned on to generate first luminance measurement values; and measure a luminance of the test image in a state in which the input sensor is turned off to generate second luminance measurement values. The converter is configured to apply a contrast sensitivity function to luminance difference values between the first and second luminance measurement values to generate final conversion values. The determiner is configured to compare the final conversion values with a predetermined reference range to determine whether a defect exists in the test image.

A display panel and a spliced display are provided. The display panel includes a substrate, a plurality of light-emitting elements, a driving circuit, and an optical sensor. The substrate includes a through hole, and the through hole includes a hole. The plurality of the light-emitting elements are disposed on the substrate. The through hole is located in a region between two of the plurality of the light-emitting elements. The driving circuit is disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of the light-emitting elements. The optical sensor is disposed corresponding to the through hole and receives sensing light through the hole. The width W of the hole meets the equation of H≤W<D. H is the depth of the hole, and D is the distance between the two of the plurality of the light-emitting elements.

The present method and system provides for interacting with a display device including accessing an external content database having images stored therein, and storing a plurality of the images to a local memory device associated with the display device. The method and system includes displaying a user interface screen on the output display of the display device and detecting, via at least one of a plurality environmental sensors, a user gesture external to the display device, the user gesture engaging in a commercial transaction relating to the display of at least one of the plurality of images on the output display. The method and system includes accessing a financial services processing system, verifying user acknowledgement of the commercial transaction, and updating the output display based on the interface command.

The data read sub-circuit is configured to transmit a voltage of the first node to a data read line in response to a signal of a scan line. The first reset sub-circuit is configured to reset the voltage of the first node.

Methods and configurations for improving the performance of sensors under a display

An electronic device may include a display and a sensor under the display. The display may include pixels having emission transistors that are controlled by emission signals. The emission signals are controlled using a pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme to control the brightness of the display. The emission signals may further include a localized sensor blackout pulse configured to generate a localized sensor blackout region that overlaps with the sensor to reduce any undesired back emission of light emitted from the display. The sensor blackout pulse may be automatically generated periodically or generated in an on-demand basis once per frame, multiple times per frame time, or once every multiple frames. Any luminance degradation caused by the sensor blackout pulse may be compensated by boosting the luminance and/or by extending the duration of each emission on pulse.
