A management apparatus includes a connection request transmitter transmitting, to a display apparatus, a connection request requesting video signal acquisition by the display apparatus for each input type of video signal, a connectability determiner determining whether a connection to the display apparatus is available using a connection response acquired from the display apparatus for each input type of connection request, and a connectable input notifier informing an input type determined to be connectable. The display apparatus includes a connection switching processor executing a connection operation for acquiring a video signal corresponding to a requested input type, a connection switching confirmer determining whether acquisition of a video signal corresponding to the input type is successful by the connection operation, and a connection response transmitter transmitting a connection response including a connection result indicating whether acquisition of a video signal is successful that is determined to the management apparatus.

One example of a device includes a display screen, a machine readable storage medium storing instructions and Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) data, and a processor. The processor is to execute the instructions to provide an on-screen display control to enable a user to select one of a plurality of EDID standards and format the EDID data based on the selected EDID standard.

An electronic device with a connector supporting multiple connection standards includes the connector, a processor, a controller, an EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) ROM, a first multiplexer circuit and a second multiplexer circuit. The first multiplexer circuit is coupled to at least one signal pin of the connector, the processor and the controller. The second multiplexer circuit is coupled to the EDID ROM, the first multiplexer circuit, the processor and the controller. Under an update state, the controller is electrically connected to the EDID ROM through the second multiplexer circuit, and updates EDID in the EDID ROM with update data.

A streaming media device includes a printed circuit board hosting components configured to access internet data. An audio/visual connector is linked to the printed circuit board, wherein the audio/visual connector is adapted for connection to an audio/visual device, wherein the audio/visual connector is adapted to operate with a first audio/visual interface having sufficient power to fully operate the printed circuit board and a second audio/visual interface having insufficient power to fully operate the printed circuit board. Systems and methods for a six-primary color system for display. A six-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. The six-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.

Systems and methods for reducing latency on a collaborative platform are provided. The collaborative platform involves a display, a moderator device, one or more member devices, and a receiver in communication with the display, the moderator device, and the one or more member devices. To reduce latency of the collaborative platform, the receiver generates an overlay image based on user input received from the display, as well as user type of the user input, generates an overlaid image based on the overlay image, and transmits the overlaid image for display, while a collaboration application generates new real image(s) based on the user input for display. The overlaid image generated may be indicative of actual user input as well as predicted user input using extrapolation and/or machine learning.

A data authorization controlling and matching system includes a receiver, a plurality of display devices, and at least one transmitter. The receiver is used for receiving an image signal. The plurality of display devices are coupled to the receiver for displaying the image signal. The at least one transmitter is coupled to the receiver for outputting the image signal. After a member list saved in the receiver is configured, a data link between the receiver and the at least one transmitter is established. Hardware information of the at least one transmitter is saved in the receiver. The receiver automatically identifies the at least one transmitter according to the hardware information of the at least one transmitter. After the at least one transmitter is identified, the receiver sets authorization information of the at least one transmitter.

An electronic device includes a first display unit, a communication unit configured to communicate with an external device including a second display unit, and a control unit configured to rotate an image to be displayed on the first display unit, in accordance with a rotational angle in a plane parallel to a screen of the first display unit, and rotate an image to be output to the external device, in accordance with the rotational angle of the first display unit and a rotational angle in a plane parallel to a screen of the second display unit.

Systems and methods for optical data interconnection are described. One aspect includes detecting a first HDMI connection of a first terminal of an optical connector. A second HDMI connection of a second terminal of the optical connector may be detected. One aspect includes determining that the first HDMI connection is associated with an HDMI source, and determining that the second HDMI connection is associated with an HDMI sink. Responsive to determining that the first HDMI connection is associated with the HDMI source, an HDMI transmission mode is selected for the first terminal. Responsive to determining that the second HDMI connection is associated with the HDMI sink, an HDMI reception mode is selected for the second terminal. The first terminal and the second terminal may perform HDMI optical communication via an optical communication channel.
