A video switching system, which can be part of an audio video receivers (AVR), enables simultaneous routing of multiple independent video streams (e.g., 8K video streams) received at HDMI inputs of the AVR from digital media sources to multiple selected digital display devices.

Example video ingestion cables, display systems, and methods for harmonizing video formats for video ingestion are provided. An example video ingestion cable includes a first video interface connector cable to receive a first video feed formatted according to a first video format, a second video interface connector cable to receive a second video feed formatted according to a second video format, a format conversion circuit to convert the first video feed or the second video feed to a harmonized video format, and an output interface connector to transmit one of the first video feed and the second video feed as an output video feed formatted according to the harmonized video format to a display device. An example display system includes first and second video ingestion cables and a video ingestion circuit to select an input video feed for display.

An automobile vehicle information system includes a touchscreen having a touchscreen capacitive sensing grid. The touchscreen displays graphics and detects touch events using the touchscreen capacitive sensing grid. A virtual touchscreen and display device is in communication with and receives the touch events detected by the touchscreen via a first digital communication link. A control unit diagnoses the switch failure signal and generates a default action according to a virtual switch type.

State information indicating states of a plurality of imaging apparatuses 100-x used for generating a virtual viewpoint image is acquired. At least one image type is determined from a plurality of image types indicating display formats of displaying the states of the plurality of imaging apparatuses 100-x based on the state information. Based on the determined image type, the states of the plurality of imaging apparatuses 100-x are displayed.

An image display system includes: a display device; an image supply device coupled to the display device in such a way as to be able to bidirectionally communicate and supplying an image signal; and an operation terminal having a plurality of operation buttons. The operation terminal transmits an operation signal in response to an operation on the operation button. The display device displays a first image supplied from the image supply device and a second image generated by the display device. On receiving the operation signal, the display device decides a degree of priority of the first image and the second image. A display control method includes outputting, by at least one video output device, M videos, M being an integer larger than or equal to 1, if M<N, displaying the M videos in each of M sub-areas by respectively assigning each of the M videos to each of the M sub-areas obtained by dividing a single large area in which an image is displayed by N display devices, N being an integer larger than or equal to 2, and if M=N, displaying each of the M videos by assigning each of the M videos to each of N display areas corresponding to the N display devices respectively.
