Devices and methods for bridging video information over an extension medium
In some embodiments, an upstream facing port device (UFP device) is connected to a DisplayPort source device via a connection that complies with the DisplayPort specifications. A downstream facing port device (DFP device) is connected to a DisplayPort sink device via a connection that complies with the DisplayPort specifications. The UFP device and the DFP device are connected via an extension medium to allow the DisplayPort source device to provide video and/or audio for presentation by the DisplayPort sink device. In some embodiments, the UFP device and/or the DFP device may be configured to provide video extracted from the DisplayPort communication to an external video processing device for processing before and/or after transmission over the extension medium.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
A display apparatus and a controlling method are provided. The display apparatus includes a communication interface to communicate with an external device, a display, and a processor which, in response to connecting to a plurality of external devices, may identify one external device based on usage history, identify whether the external device is turned on based on a clock signal included in an input signal of the identified external device, based on the identified external device not being turned on, transmit a control signal to turn on the external device to the external device, identify a feature of content provided by the identified external device, change an output setting state of the display corresponding to the identified feature of the content, and based on receiving content from the external device, control the display to display the received content based on the changed output setting state of the display.
DISPLAY DEVICE, USAGE MANAGEMENT METHOD AND PROGRAM OF A DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a display device that has a usage validity period and confirms that the device is within the usage validity period when it is used, and can be improved in usefulness and can be used quickly, as well as a usage management method and program for the display device. The display device includes: a real-time clock; and, a control unit that, upon receiving a video display-ON signal for turning on video display under the condition that the status of the real-time clock is invalid, displays video corresponding to an input video signal.
High-definition multimedia interface HDMI unit and multimedia terminal
The high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) unit includes a source interface module, configured to communicate with a sink device, a sink interface module, configured to communicate with a source device, an interface circuit module, configured to connect to an HDMI interface of an external device, a processing module, configured to identify a device type of the connected external device, and control a switching circuit module, and the switching circuit module, configured to establish a connection between the HDMI interface of the external device connected to the interface circuit module and the source interface module or the sink interface module. It is implemented that when a different type of a device connected to a multimedia terminal matches a port, it is ensured that the multimedia terminal establishes a connection to a source device or a sink device.
Electronic device and method of interconnecting the same
A method of operating a first electronic device is provided. The method includes determining whether at least one second electronic device is present on the first electronic device, displaying at least one image on a display of the first electronic device, identifying a first information input to at least one image sensor of the at least one second electronic device, comparing the identified first information with a parameter of the displayed image, determining a location of the at least one second electronic device based on the comparison result, and displaying a second information on the display based on the determined location.
Display device, method for driving same, and display system
A display device, a method for driving the same, and a display system are provided. In the display device, a drive circuit can first drive the display panel to display a target image containing a number of colors less than a number threshold in response to detecting that a host computer stops delivering image data (i.e., the screen is turned off), and then drive the display panel to enter a standby state. In this way, the display panel can be made to stably transition to the standby state upon screen-off of the host computer, thereby solving the problems of stalled display or abnormal display caused by the display panel being unable to enter the standby state reliably.
Image processing apparatus and method for selective power supply
An image processing apparatus includes a chipset unit which processes data; a connector which includes a plurality of terminals, and is configured to connect with a cable so that the chipset unit can transmit and receive a signal to and from an external device; a switching unit which supplies power to the external device through a first terminal of the connector, and selectively controls a switching operation regarding whether or not to supply power to the first terminal on the basis of a signal state of a second terminal of the connector when the cable is connected to the connector. A control method of the image processing apparatus is also disclosed.
Display Control System, Display Apparatus and Control Method
Provided are a display module control system, a display apparatus, a control method, a computer device and a medium. The display module control system includes a display module, a display controller driving the display module and a bridge unit connecting the display module and the display controller, wherein the display controller is configured to output a first video signal according to an external video source; the bridging unit is configured to determine whether the display controller is in normal operation state according to the first video signal received, output the first video signal to the display module to play the first video signal when the display controller is in normal operation state, and output a second video signal pre-stored to the display module to play the second video signal when the display controller is not in normal operation state.
DISPLAY DEVICE, METHOD OF DISPLAY DRIVING, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
A display device includes: a display unit; a display driver configured to drive the display unit; and a display-data generator configured to transfer a screenful of update display data to the display driver. The display driver includes a light-emission controller configured to control self-luminous elements to emit light, and a memory storing a screenful of the update display data. After a lapse of a predetermined time period from a driving stop time, the display driver reads the update display data stored in the memory and then uses the update display data to drive a screen, the driving stop time being a time when the display unit is stopped from driving based on the update display data. The display driver causes the self-luminous elements of the display unit to emit light, even during a display update or no display update performed on the display driver by the display-data generator.
Communication device and communication method
