Display system and display apparatus
A display apparatus is provided, which includes a USB Type-C connector, display panel, a multiplexing circuit, a switch circuit, and a display controller. The USB Type-C connector is connected to a portable device, wherein a USB signal between the display apparatus and the portable device includes an image-transmission channel and a data-transmission channel. The multiplexing circuit separates the image-transmission channel from the data-transmission channel. The display controller controls a display mode of the display panel. In response to the display panel being in a first display mode, the display controller transmits a control signal to the switch circuit to control the multiplexing circuit to switch to a first operation mode. In response to the multiplexing circuit being in the first operation mode, the portable device acts as a host terminal in the image-transmission channel, and acts as a device terminal in the data-transmission channel.
Secured KVM switching device with unidirectional communications
A Secured Keyboard Video and Mouse (SKVM) system for selectively controlling a plurality of individual computers by a single set comprising a keyboard, a pointing device and at least one video monitor (in some cases, can be controlled also by computer), the SKVM comprising separate electrical circuits for transmitting the display sources, the pointing device and keyboard communications.
Mousepads with sensors
An input device that includes a mouse; a mousepad, that includes a sensor to detect a position of the mouse on a surface of the mousepad; a processor; an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to, when activated by the processor, indicate a position of the mouse on the surface of the mousepad; wherein the mouse comprises a button that, when activated, causes the processor to initiate an action based on the detected position of the mouse relative to the surface of the mousepad.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF POLYCHROMATIC INDENTIFICATION FOR A KVM SWITCH
A peripheral devices switch, a peripheral device, and a keyboard configured to be connected to a plurality of host computers. The peripheral devices switch configured to be coupled to at least one set of peripheral devices and to a plurality of host computers. A color is assigned to each host computer and the at least one set of peripheral devices illuminates at least one polychromatic light source with the color that is assigned to an active host computer. A peripheral device interface to interface between the peripheral device and the peripheral devices switch may be a composite interface comprises two independent interface protocols either by sharing a single connector and cable but having separate pins in the connector and corresponding wires in the cable, or by having a separate cable and separate connector to each one of said interface protocol. The composite interface comprises a primary standard peripheral device interface for the standard peripheral device functionalities, and secondary dedicated peripheral device interface configured to instructs the illumination of the polychromatic indication.
SWITCH AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a switch, which includes a first input port, a second input port, an output port and a control circuit. The output port outputs image data received by the first input port. The control circuit receives a first electrical characteristic and a second electrical characteristic from the first input port and the second input port respectively, and changes a third electrical characteristic of the output port when the second electrical characteristic is different from the first electrical characteristic, and then the output port outputs image data received by the second input port.
Protocols and methods for transmitting a data flow transiting between a host computer and a remote client
Protocols for transmitting a data flow transiting between a host computer and a remote client use the bandwidth of a computer network. The data includes at least display and sound data generated by a user session running on the host computer, and control data generated by at least one remote system I/O device. The transmission protocol includes a plurality of data flow reliability treatments to address transmission failures, the reliability treatments applying to the display, sound and control data respectively being different from each other.
Display device capable of switching image sources and operating system thereof
A display device capable of switching image sources and including a first transmission interface, a second transmission interface, a system on chip (SOC), and a display panel is provided. The first transmission interface is configured to be coupled to a first electronic device and receive a first image signal and selection information from the first electronic device. The second transmission interface is configured to be coupled to a second electronic device and receive a second image signal from the second electronic device. The SOC selects at least one of the first and second image signals according to the selection information to generate a display signal. The display panel displays an image according to the display signal.
Systems and methods for bandwidth reduction in video signal transmission
Reduced-bandwidth versions of display signals that are currently being provided as outputs by multiple computer systems are received and processed for output, at another computer system, of a representation of each of the display signals. The received reduced-bandwidth versions may include, for example, versions of display signals that are generated by applying any one or more of the following to each of the display signals: scaling, segmenting, and compression. At a transmit side, respective requests for different reduced-bandwidth versions of a display signal that is currently being provided as an output by a computer system are received from multiple other computer systems. The different reduced-bandwidth versions of the display signal are generated and transmitted to the requesting computer systems responsive to the requests.
Docking station
A docking station is provided. When a first electronic device is connected to a docking station, the first electronic device is connected to a first display device and a second display device through the docking station. However, when the first electronic device and a second electronic device are connected to the docking station, the docking station connects the first display device to the first electronic device, and connects the second display device to the second electronic device instead of the first electronic device.
