Electronic device including a flexible display with variable region and method of heating the variable region of the flexible display
An operating method of an electronic device is provided. The method includes measuring an external temperature of the electronic device by using at least one sensor. The method may calculate, from an entire region of a flexible display, a fixed region that is visually exposed to an outside regardless of a screen size of the electronic device, and a variable region that is visually exposed at least in part to the outside in a screen expansion or screen size change state of the electronic device. The method may compare the external temperature with a preset first threshold temperature, thereby determining heating of the variable region in response to the external temperature being less than the first threshold temperature. The method may heat the variable region by controlling at least one of a luminance or a driving frequency of the variable region.

The display device can further include an analog-to-digital converter to receive a voltage output from the first pad portion or the second pad portion through a line in the circuit film electrically connecting the first pad portion with the second pad portion, and output a value corresponding to the voltage input for detecting a bonding state of at least one internal component within the display device.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a display panel, a roller on which the display panel is wound or unwound, and a lifting unit configured to move the display panel in a vertical direction, wherein the lifting unit includes a plurality of chain units configured to be coupled when ascending and separated from each other when descending, a first power transmission unit configured to lift the plurality of chain units, and a second power transmission unit configured to couple or separate the plurality of chain units by switching movement directions of the plurality of chain units, so that durability and wobbling of the display device can be improved.

A foldable mobile electronic device is provided. The foldable mobile electronic device includes a processor configured to recognize, based on the data received from the first sensor, a change in a state of the foldable mobile electronic device from the folded state to a partially folded state before reaching an unfolded state, to identify a first illuminance by using the data received from the second sensor, based on the recognized state change, to set a first luminance corresponding to the first illuminance as a brightness of the display, to when an angle identified after the state change falls within a predetermined first angle range or when a specific time has not elapsed after the state change, perform a real-time adjustment operation on the brightness of the display, based on a second illuminance identified using the second sensor, and to when the angle identified after the state change is outside the first angle range or when the specific time has elapsed after the state change, perform a hysteresis adjustment operation on the brightness of the display, based on the first illuminance.
