SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GUIDING DENTAL TREATMENT UTILIZING MIXED REALITY
20220346911 · 2022-11-03 ·

Dental treatment can be provided by a system that overlays a treatment template on a patient's arch in mixed reality, enabling a practitioner to view a schematic of the dental treatment while administering the treatment itself. The system employs a physical guide which includes stabilizing pieces to hold the guide steady with respect to the area of the arch where treatment is being administered. When the physical guide is scanned, a virtual guide is produced, in relation to which the treatment template can be defined. When the physical guide is installed on the patient, the virtual guide is aligned with the physical guide, thus aligning the template with the physical arch. With the physical guide firmly in place, the guides provide abundant feature points for reliable alignment which can be maintained even while practitioners and patient's readjust their positioning throughout a treatment, or in situations where the oral anatomy may not be visible to a mixed reality device.

A bar is displayed in a second region. Display of the bar starts in a longest state when an undetected state in which a region of interest is not detected transitions to a detected state in which the region of interest is detected, and display in the longest state is maintained until the detected state transitions to the undetected state. When the detected state transitions to the undetected state, the bar is reduced in length over time. When a predetermined time elapses, the length of the bar becomes 0, and the bar disappears. In addition, in a case where the undetected state transitions to the detected state before the bar disappears, the length of the bar returns to the longest.

Provided is a display apparatus having an LED module composed of a plurality of LED grids and mounted on a display panel; an LED driver module; a touch sensor mounted on the display panel; a control module configured to control an operation of the LED module; and a drawing device, assigned an identifier which indicates a unique color, and configured to grasp the grid coordinates of the LED grids corresponding to contact points with the display panel through light emitted from the LED module, wherein the control module receives the identifier assigned to the drawing device and the grasped grid coordinates from the drawing device, grasps position coordinates of the contact points through the touch sensor, specifies the identifier based on a comparison result between the received grid coordinates and the grasped position coordinates, and then displays a unique color at the contact point of the position coordinates.

LIGHT FIELD VISION-BASED TESTING DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD

Described are various embodiments of a light field vision-based testing device, system and method. One such device comprises an array of digital display pixels; a corresponding array of light field shaping elements (LFSEs); a hardware processor operable to adjust perception of a defined optotype within a range of visual acuity compensations; and an adjustable refractive optical system adjustable to selectively produce a complementary visual acuity compensation to extend each of a cylindrical compensation range and a spherical compensation range.

Perceptual luminance nonlinearity-based image data exchange across different display capabilities

A handheld imaging device has a data receiver that is configured to receive reference encoded image data. The data includes reference code values, which are encoded by an external coding system. The reference code values represent reference gray levels, which are being selected using a reference grayscale display function that is based on perceptual non-linearity of human vision adapted at different light levels to spatial frequencies. The imaging device also has a data converter that is configured to access a code mapping between the reference code values and device-specific code values of the imaging device. The device-specific code values are configured to produce gray levels that are specific to the imaging device. Based on the code mapping, the data converter is configured to transcode the reference encoded image data into device-specific image data, which is encoded with the device-specific code values.
