VIRTUAL WINDOW APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
An apparatus includes an electronic display configured to be positioned in a first location and one or more processors electronically coupled to the electronic display. The processors receive a video from a server. The video depicts a view of a second location and includes an image of a rectangular casing, a frame, and one or more muntins. The image is composited with the video by the server to provide an illusion of a window in the second location to a user viewing the video. The rectangular casing surrounds the window. The processors synchronize a time-of-view at the second location in the video with a time-of-day at the first location and synchronize a second length-of-day at the second location in the video with a first length-of-day at the first location. The processors transmit the video to the electronic display for viewing by the user.

An approach is provided for selecting and displaying image(s). A user and user profile information corresponding to the user are identified. A sentiment of the user is identified. Based on the user profile information, an association between the identified sentiment of the user and sentiment(s) is determined. The sentiment(s) are included in a plurality of sentiments conveyed by a plurality of images. Image(s) included in the plurality of images are determined to convey the sentiment(s). Based on the association between the identified sentiment of the user and the sentiment(s) and the image(s) conveying the sentiment(s), the image(s) are selected from the plurality of images. The selected image(s) are displayed.
Picture frame display apparatus and a display method
The present application discloses a display apparatus including a solution-on-chip (SOC) comprising a first input port receiving video data, a second input port configured to receive image data in a first resolution, and a central-processing unit comprising a frame-cut block integrated with an image processor to divide a frame of image data in the first resolution to 4 parts of the frame in a second resolution in a serial order. The display apparatus further includes a FPGA configured to write, read, and process respective one of the 4 parts of the frame in the serial order sent from the SOC to reconstruct a frame of image data in the first resolution. Furthermore, the display apparatus includes a TCON configured to receive the frame of the image data in the first resolution reconstructed by the FPGA and a display panel driven by the TCON to display the frame of image data.
