The present invention relates to improved musical instrument components. In certain embodiments, the present invention relates to a piano plate assembly, wherein the plate assembly comprises a core at least partially surrounded by a shell, wherein the shell comprises a composite fiber material impregnated with a polymeric resin material. In another aspect, the present invention relates to methods of producing such piano plate assemblies.

In one embodiment, a method for the enhanced display of the hands of a pianist playing a piano, including: (a) recording at least one video stream of at least one hand of a pianist playing a piano; and (b) while the pianist is playing the piano, using at least a portion of the piano as a display for displaying the video stream.

First and second pivot sections pivotally support left and right end portions of a fallboard on left and right side boards of a keyboard musical instrument, respectively. At least one of the first and second pivot sections includes: a damper mechanism provided on one of the side board and an end portion of the fallboard and having a driven member to receive pivotal movement; and a driving member engageable with the driven member and operable in interlocked relation to the other thereof. The damper mechanism generates a load against pivotal force from the driven member. At least one of the first and second pivot sections includes: a pivoting member pivotally supported on one of the side board and the end portion of the fallboard; and a retainer fixed to the other thereof to position and retain the pivoting member at a predetermined position.

An electronic instrument includes a casing, at least one performance element on the casing, a sound emitting unit inside the casing, and a cover unit configured to be accommodated between the performance element and the sound emitting unit inside the casing by being pushed into and pulled out of the casing and to cover the performance element with the cover unit pulled out of the casing, and an interior of the casing is divided by the cover unit into a first space where the performance element is disposed and a second space where the sound emitting unit is disposed with the cover unit accommodated inside the casing, and a recess is provided on a plate surface lying near the cover unit inside the casing in such a manner as to straddle the first space and the second space.

The embodiments herein provide a piano cuisine apparatus for integrating music and food. The apparatus comprises a wooden case in the shape of a piano for housing a musical keyboard. Different musical sounds are generated upon pressing each key in the musical keyboard. The hot plates are attached on the top surface of the wooden case for providing a flat heating surface for cooking or reheating the food. The shelves are attached to the wooden case for providing an open storage space to store the cooking related items. Drawers are provided within the wooden case for providing an enclosed storage space for storing the cooking related items. A sink is attached on top surface of the wooden case for providing a bowl-shaped plumbing fixture for washing hands, dishwashing, and other similar purposes while cooking.

A topboard support device for a grand piano, in which a topboard prop can be accommodated without placing the same on ribs of a frame. The topboard support device supports a topboard capable of opening and closing the top of a piano body, in an open state, and includes the topboard prop for supporting the opened topboard from below by a tip end portion thereof, and a prop support member for supporting the topboard prop via a base end portion thereof in a manner pivotally movable about vertical and horizontal axes. The topboard prop is pivotally moved by the prop support member between a position for being accommodated in a space between the ribs of the frame and an outer rim, in a substantially horizontal posture, and a position for supporting the topboard, in a posture tilted in a manner rising toward a tip end.
