Device and Method for Introducing Different Embouchures
A device has a plurality of different mouthpieces that can be mounted on an elongate body. Each mounted mouthpiece is spaced from the central axis of the elongate body. In order to introduce different embouchures, a music student can blow into successive ones of the plurality of different mouthpieces. The student can hold the elongate body when using the device.

A valved wind instrument including a tubular body having a tuning section, a lead pipe connected to a first end of the tuning section and a bell pipe connected to a second end of the tuning section, said tubular body being configured to allow a vibrating column of air to pass therethrough; wherein the tuning section includes an air inlet port for receiving air flow from the lead pipe at the first end, an air outlet port for delivering said air flow to the bell tube at the second end, a plurality of user operable valves; wherein each valve of said plurality of valves is in fluid communication with an adjacent valve by a first tubular portion so as to provide fluid communication between the inlet port and the outlet port, and wherein each valve of said plurality of valves is user moveable between a first position and a second position and each so as to increase the air pathway length between the inlet port and the outlet port by way of a second tubular portion; and wherein each second tubular portions is coplanar with each other, and wherein the second tubular portions are integrally formed from a polymeric material within the tuning section, wherein the tuning section is provided by molded first and second body member that are bonded together and sealingly engaged along a plane parallel to the longitudinal axes of the second tubular portions.

A one-piece valve cluster for brass instruments that facilitates ease-of-maintenance and ease-of-repair includes an upper housing, a lower housing, a plurality of first bisected-casings, a plurality of second bisected-casings, a plurality of first bisected-ports, and plurality of second bisected-ports. The plurality of first bisected-casings and the plurality of first bisected-ports are fashioned into a first-milling face of the upper housing. Similarly, the plurality of second bisected-casings and the plurality of second bisected-ports are fashioned into a second-milling face of the lower housing. The upper housing is mounted to the lower housing to create a single piece valve cluster that can easily installed on the instrument. More specifically, the first-milling face is positioned coincident to the second-milling face. Once mounted, each first bisected-casing is positioned concentric to a corresponding second bisected-casing to form a single cylindrical casing for housing a rotor plug.
