MOUTHPIECE PATCH FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A mouthpiece patch for a mouthpiece of a wind instrument including a body having a posterior end, an anterior end, lateral side walls, an upper surface and a lower surface. The patch further includes a recessed region provided in the upper surface and extending in a widthwise direction and configured to receive the teeth of a user.
AEROPHONE INSTRUMENT USING AIR-FILLED OBJECT
An apparatus for assembling an aerophone instrument including an air conduit with first and second ends and segments to provide an air passage; air inlets on the air conduit to create an air entry point for compressed air to be delivered into the air passage, air outlets on the air conduit to create an air exit point for the release of compressed air along the air pathways, each defined by the position of an air inlet and the position of an air outlets along the air conduit. An air-filled object is positioned to be operatively associated with the air conduit. Compressed air is deliverable to the air conduit through the air inlets, causing an area of a wall of the air-filled object to vibrate and causing compressed air to vibrate in the air passage compressed air exits the air conduit from the air outlets.
Mouthpiece for woodwind instruments with chamfered venturi aperture
An improved mouthpiece for use with single reed woodwind instruments is provided. The transition from the top surfaces of the side rails to the exterior of the mouthpiece includes a chamfer extending along a portion of each side rail to achieve a venturi effect between the top surfaces and the reed at the region of the tone chamber adjacent the tip rail.

Apparatus for enhancing sounds produced out of single-reed wind music instruments
Apparatus for enhancing tunes produced out of single-reed wind music instrument are disclosed. Apparatus comprise one or more sound enhancing elements in form of a plurality of elongated ribs or grooves, or one or more studs. The sound enhancing elements are affixed to either side or both sides of a reed. Patterns of the elongated ribs/grooves can be straight or wavy lines orientated in longitudinal, transverse or oblique direction with respect to the reed. Each stud contains a 3-D geometric shape portion for altering sounds produced out of a single-reed wind music instrument when played by a player, and a base of the 3-D geometric shape portion for affixing the stud to either side or both sides of a reed in an effective area. Dimensions/locations of the effective area are single-reed wind music instrument dependent.
Rotatable mouthpiece for a woodwind instrument
A mouthpiece configuration for a wind instrument (such as a saxophone) is provided that is rotatable with respect to the neck, while remaining stationary with respect to the musician. The inventive mouthpiece comprises an inner sleeve component that is inserted over the neck of the instrument, where the inner sleeve component is formed to include a rotatable outer surface element (e.g., slip ring, ball bearings, etc.), referred to as a bearing surface that provides rotational movement. A mouthpiece element is positioned over the inner sleeve component to engage with the rotatable outer surface element such that a player may easily rotate the mouthpiece element with respect to the remainder of the instrument.
Mouthpiece rim for non-french horn labrosone musical brass instruments
An improved rim for a mouthpiece for a plurality of non-French horn labrosone brass musical instruments. The improved rim has a rim width having a predetermined width measurement as a smallest width dimension taken of an outer edge, a crown, and an inner edge of the improved rim, where the rim width can be a same width as a playing surface of the improved rim, where the playing surface is a width of the improved rim engaged by a musician's lips. Also provided are improved rims removably or permanently affixed to the mouthpiece.
Detachable wind guard for flute embouchure hole
The invention provides a detachable wind guard for a flute-type instrument comprising an elongate, arcuate cover configured to wrap over a flute barrel. The cover has a center section with a radius larger than the radius of the flute barrel and includes a tapered, recessed facing edge configured to leave an embouchure hole uncovered when the wind guard is attached to the flute barrel. End sections taper to a radius sized to conform to the flute barrel. An elongate, arcuate holder positioned opposite the cover has a radius sized to conform to the flute barrel. A connector pin passes through knuckles on both the cover and holder to form a hinge that allows the wind guard to open in a clamshell manner. Torsion springs around the connector pin bias the holder in a closed position.

LIGATURE FOR ATTACHING A SINGLE VIBRATING REED TO A MOUTHPIECE OF A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
The invention concerns a ligature (1) for attaching a single flapping reed (3) to a mouthpiece (2) of a musical instrument, comprising a main body secured to said mouthpiece and: a holding member of the reed (3), movably mounted between a stress position in which it exerts on the reed (3) an immobilization stress of the reed (3) and at least one release position in which it releases said stress in order to authorize a displacement of the reed (3), a control lever pivotally mounted between a rest position in which it cooperates with the holding member so that said holding member occupies the stress position thereof and at least one actuated position in which it stresses the holding member in the release position thereof, and an elastic return member. Wind musical instruments.
