A cymbal cover and method of using a cymbal cover are provided that can allow for more complete coverage of a cymbal and that allow easy application and removal from a cymbal with minimal requirement for one to handle the cymbal directly with their hands. A cymbal cover comprises a resiliently stretchable, flexible cup-shaped body having a closed circular top and an open bottom defining an internal cavity and a bottom opening, a resiliently stretchable aperture disposed on the closed circular top, and a gathered closure mechanism adjacent the bottom opening. A method of using a cymbal cover comprises the steps of providing a cymbal, stretching a resiliently flexible cup-shaped body over the cymbal, and engaging a closure mechanism adjacent a bottom opening of the cup-shaped body to draw the bottom opening together on an underside of the cymbal.

An instrument case for receiving a string instrument, has a housing, has a receiving region, delimited by the housing, for receiving an instrument and has at least one neck support module has a neck support unit for supporting an instrument neck, wherein the neck support module has a bearing unit having two bearing elements and supporting the neck support unit in the receiving region in an adjustable manner.

A guitar clamp is disclosed that can be used to secure the neck portion of a guitar within a guitar case. The guitar clamp includes a base component that has a guitar neck support surface; a left side that is contiguous with the support surface; and a right side that includes a first wall, which protrudes outward from the support surface. The guitar clamp further includes a top component that has a clamp surface that is configured to rest adjacent to a set of strings of the guitar neck; a right side that is contiguous with the clamp surface; and a left side that includes a second wall, which protrudes outward from the clamp surface. The base component is configured to be combined with the top component, such that the base component and top component securely surround a portion of the guitar neck. Guitar cases that include such guitar clamps are also disclosed.

Music instrument case apparatus and methods are taught for providing packing and transportation through an external pack, mating with a mounting area on a music instrument case. A set of fastening means in the mounting area provide for mating between the external pack and the music instrument case.

The invention serves to cut the cost of traveling with additional guitars on commercial aircraft in half by guitar style-specific designed soft outer carrying cases which allow the traveler to combine two hard shell guitar traveling cases inside of one single outside soft cover case. Typically, this qualifies the two guitars as One piece of luggage, if under 50 lbs., on most domestic and international airlines and therefore the traveler is only charged a fee for one additional piece of luggage.

There are no solutions which will combine two acoustic guitars into a one piece baggage item with regards to airline baggage charges. Nor is there any competition which allows the combination of two separate electric guitar cases to be joined together resulting in fewer airline charges for additional luggage.

This invention also makes it easier to maneuver two guitars around at once.

There is configuration zipper 440 which allows the traveler to only expand the case to a single guitar case size for the occasions when only one guitar is being transported.

A utility article for protecting and covering the strings of a musical instrument, while providing options for visibility and display. The utility article, including a covering member made of flexible material and having a front side and a rear side. Four flaps extend from the left edge and the right edge of the covering member, wherein two flaps extend outwards to form a sleeve and the two flaps extend rearwards wrapping the neck of the musical instrument. The two pockets will serve for holding the user's common accessories and tools, while an attachable flap will allow the device to second as a guitar strap when not in its primary use.

A carrying case that may be configured to include or to receive an attachable panel is described. The attachable panel may be configured to be attached to the carrying case. The attachable panel may have graphical artwork or pictures printed onto its surfaces or otherwise affixed to it. A carrying case utilizes a layer of phase change materials and a thermal insulation layer in order to provide a temperature-stabilized environment for enclosed payloads during transport through an environment in which temperatures differ greatly from those to which they are normally exposed. In one aspect, the phase change materials and thermal insulation provide an extended period of temperature constancy, without the addition of either active thermal control or excessively bulky insulation.
