An attachment for a handheld appliance, the attachment having a first end for connection to the appliance and a second end, a first wall extending from the first end towards the second end and defining a fluid flow path through the attachment, a second wall extending from the second end towards the first end about the first wall and defining a second fluid flow path extending between the first wall and the second wall. The first end of the appliance may be substantially circular. The fluid flow path may have a fluid inlet that may be annular at the first end. The fluid inlet may be defined by the first wall and an inner wall extending around and at least partially along the first wall. The inner wall may be substantially equidistant from the first wall around the fluid inlet. A hair care appliance comprises such as attachment.

The air outlet extends along the inner wall of at least one of the first arm and the second arm and is adapted to direct airflow towards a lower edge of the arms.

A hair clamp including a pair of clamping members for gripping hair therebetween, wherein each clamping member is supported by an inner wall of the first arm and second arm, respectively.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRYING AND STYLING HAIR

Apparatus for drying and styling hair, comprising: first and second mutually-opposing arms adapted for movement between an open configuration for receiving a length of wet hair therebetween and a closed configuration adjacent the hair, such that, in use, when the arms are in the closed configuration they form an inter-arm chamber across which the hair passes, and wherein an airflow conduit is provided within and along at least one of the first and second arms; and means for delivering a flow of air along the conduit in the at least one of the first and second arms, and subsequently into the inter-arm chamber. Also provided is a method of drying (and optionally simultaneously styling) hair using such apparatus.
