METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING A MODAL PROCESSOR
The implementation of modal processors, which involve the parallel combination resonant filters, may be costly for applications such as artificial reverberation that can require thousands of modes. In one embodiment, the input signal is decomposed into a plurality of subbands, the outputs of which are downsampled. In each downsampled band, resonant filters are applied at the downsampled sampling rate, and their output is upsampled and filtered to form the band output. In these and other embodiments, a feature of responses of the mode filters have been optimized to minimize an aspect of a residual error after a point in time.
AUTOMATIC PREPARATION OF A NEW MIDI FILE
The present disclosure relates to a method of automatically preparing a MIDI file based on a target MIDI file comprising respective note information about each of a plurality of target notes and a source MIDI file comprising respective note information about each of a plurality of source notes. Each note information comprises pitch information defining a pitch of the note. The method comprises ranking the plurality of target notes based on the pitch of each target note. The method also comprises, for each of the ranked target notes, removing the pitch information from the note information of the target note. The method also comprises, for each of the ranked target notes, replacing the removed pitch information with pitch information of a corresponding source note, whereby the target note has the same pitch as the corresponding source note, forming a plurality of new notes of a new MIDI file.

Modal Reverb Effects For An Acoustic Space
Methods and systems for performing modified reverb techniques for audio signals are described. The method may involve receiving an audio signal, a modal reverb effect to be applied to the audio signal, and an indication of a plurality of frequencies. Modes of vibration of a space simulated by the reverb effect may be separated into a set of frequencies included in the input, and a set frequencies not included in the input. The modal reverb effect may be modified by separately adjusting the separate sets of modes of vibration. The modified effect may then be applied to the audio signal.
Electronic wind instrument, musical sound generation device, musical sound generation method and storage medium storing program
A musical sound generation device including a blowing pressure sensor which detects a blowing pressure, a key switch which specifies a sound pitch of a musical sound, a first sound source which outputs a first signal corresponding to an exhalation sound, a second sound source which outputs a second signal corresponding to the musical sound having the sound pitch specified by the key switch, and a processor which starts output of the first signal by the first sound source on basis of an operation performed on the key switch, starts output of the second signal by the second sound source on basis of the blowing pressure, and controls a sound volume when the exhalation sound resulting from the first signal is emitted and a sound volume when the musical sound resulting from the second signal is emitted, on basis of the blowing pressure.

CREATIVE GAN GENERATING MUSIC DEVIATING FROM STYLE NORMS
A method and system for generating music uses artificial intelligence to analyze existing musical compositions and then creates a musical composition that deviates from the learned styles. Known musical compositions created by humans are presented in digitized form along with a style designator to a computer for analysis, including recognition of musical elements and association of particular styles. A music generator generates a draft musical composition for similar analysis by the computer. The computer ranks such draft musical composition for correlation with known musical elements and known styles. The music generator modifies the draft musical composition using an iterative process until the resulting musical composition is recognizable as music but is distinctive in style.

KEYLESS SYNTHESIZER
A keyless synthesizer t can stimulate all three senses (hearing, muscle movement and visual) at once in patients born with C.H.A.R.G.E. syndrome while they play and, at the same time, enjoy and have fun with the device. A keyless synthesizer operational by a single hand of the user includes an ultrasound range sensor responsive to the distance d of a user's hand from the sensor for generating a sensor signal corresponding to the distance d. A programmable microcontroller programmed to convert the sensor signal to one of a plurality of discrete signals. A synthesizer is responsive to each discrete signal for generating a discrete tone. A multi-color generator is responsive to each discrete signal for generating a discrete color so that for each discrete signal corresponding to a distance d both a discreet tone and an associated discreet color are generated.
