TRANSITIONS BETWEEN MEDIA CONTENT ITEMS
A system of playing media content items determines transitions between pairs of media content items by determining desirable locations in which transitions across the pairs of media content items occur. The system uses a plurality of track features of media content items and determines such track features of each media content item associated with each of transition point candidates, such as beat positions, of that media content item. The system determines similarity in the plurality of track features between the transition point candidates of a first media content item and the transition point candidates for a second media content item being played subsequent to the first media content item. The transition points or portions of the first and second media content items are selected from the transition point candidates for the first and second media content items based on the similarity results.
Audio signal generation device, audio signal generation method, and computer-readable storage medium
An audio signal generation device (20) includes: an acquirer (210) configured to acquire biological information of a human subject; an audio signal generator (245) configured to generate an audio signal based on at least one of a plurality of pieces of sound information; and a switching cycle decider (241) configured to decide a switching cycle, such that first sound information switches to second sound information at a cycle that is in accordance with the biological information, the first sound information and the second sound information being included in the plurality of sound information pieces, and the audio signal generator (245) generates an audio signal based on the second sound information, at the switching cycle decided by the switching cycle decider (241).
Music composition aid
Disclosed herein are computer-implemented method, computer-readable storage medium, and DAW embodiments for implementing a music composition aid. An embodiment includes retrieving a first constraint value, receiving a selection of a set of musical elements, and accepting a second constraint value corresponding to the set of musical elements. Some embodiments further include invoking an iterator function, using at least the second constraint value as an argument, and generating an output of the iterator function, limiting a size of the output of the iterator function, according to the lesser of the first constraint value or a transform of the second constraint value. Output of the iterator function may include, of the set of musical elements, a subset determined by the second constraint value. The size of the output may be no more than the first constraint value. Further embodiments may render the output of the iterator function visually and/or audibly, for example.
Performance assistance apparatus and method
To assist a human player in performing a plurality of foot operators (pedal keys) operable with a human player's foot, a foot operator image indicative of the foot operators is displayed on a display screen. Model performance data including at least information indicative of a rhythm and a pitch of a foot performance part to be performed by use of the foot operators is acquired, and a particular foot operator corresponding to the pitch of the foot performance part included in the acquired model performance data is visually designated. At the same time, based on rhythm information for the foot performance part, a rhythm of a sound corresponding to the particular foot operator is presented. The presentation of the rhythm is performed by presenting a sound generation timing and a time length of the sound, and a suitable marker indicative of a performance progression may be additionally displayed.
Performance assistance apparatus and method
To assist a human player in performing a plurality of foot operators (pedal keys) operable with a human player's foot, a foot operator image indicative of the foot operator group is displayed on a display screen. Chord information of a chord to be performed is acquired, and a pitch of a bass note corresponding to the chord indicated by the acquired chord information is identified. A particular foot operator corresponding to the identified pitch of the bass note is visually designated on the foot operator image displayed on the display screen. An object indicative of a chord name is displayed on the same display screen. Objects indicative of one or more chord names corresponding to a chord progression over a plurality of measures is displayed. A display object highlighting one object indicative of a particular chord name is added in accordance with a progression of a performance.
Resonance sound signal generation device, resonance sound signal generation method, non-transitory computer readable medium storing resonance sound signal generation program and electronic musical apparatus
A resonance sound signal generation device comprises a designation receiver that receives designation of a pitch, a sound signal instructor that provides an instruction for generating a sound signal corresponding to the designated pitch, a producer that produces a resonance sound signal representing a resonance sound based on a plurality of pitches, a determiner that determines whether another pitch is designated at a time of designation of one pitch, and a resonance sound instructor that instructs the producer to produce a resonance sound signal of the one pitch and a resonance sound signal of the another pitch based on the one pitch and the another pitch when determination is made that the another pitch is designated at the time of designation of the one pitch, and does not instruct the producer to produce resonance sound signals when determination is made that the another pitch is not designated at the time of designation of the one pitch.

DYNAMIC MUSIC MODIFICATION
A method for electronic music generation comprising electronically applying one or more functions that change one or more compositional elements of a musical input in a first tonality or other musical representation to generate a musical output in a second tonality or other musical representation and recording data corresponding to the musical output in a recording medium or rendering such musical Transformations to a reproductive medium such as an amplifier and speakers or headphones.
METHOD FOR MUSIC COMPOSITION EMBODYING A SYSTEM FOR TEACHING THE SAME
A computer-implemented method for music composition embodying a system for teaching the same is provided. Each composition is retrievably stored as music data selectively broken apart into different elemental portions for generating and teaching the composition of hundreds of thousands of additional songs or accompaniments for over 40 musical instruments and all types of human voices. The present invention is adapted to allow the melodies of the additional songs or accompaniments to automatically change the range in order to accommodate the notes range of the selected instrument or human voice.
TEXT PROVIDING METHOD AND TEXT PROVIDING DEVICE
In an embodiment, a text providing method includes providing chord input data, in which chords are aligned in chronological order, to a trained model in which a relationship between chord sequence data, in which chords are aligned in chronological order, and explanatory text related to the chords included in the chord sequence data is learned, and obtaining text corresponding to the chord input data from the trained model.
