APP-BASED PLATFORM FOR SYNCHRONIZING USER-GENERATED ANIMATION WITH MUSIC
20170212722 · 2017-07-27 ·

Disclosed is a platform enabling users to generate animations synchronized to a musical track in an app-based environment which facilitates collaboration. A method of generating such animations involves first receiving, by a host device executing an app input data from one or more input devices. The app utilizes a layers module to assign the input data to one or more layers. The app assigns input data to layers and allows modification of inputs and timestamps of the input data. The app further allows application of one or more media assets to the inputs. Users of the platform may each execute the app, or execute a companion app that allow communication to the host device. The app may also facilitate compiling the one or more layers into a musical animation file. The musical animation file may store the one or more layers and metadata identifying the musical track.

Mutable direct box and integrated phantom-powered music instrument tuner

Apparatuses, systems and methods are presented which provide for a musical instrument direct box combined with a musical instrument tuner which may be phantom powered from an external audio system. In some embodiments, an apparatus is presented that includes a direct box (DI) module and a musical instrument tuner module coupled to the DI module. The instrument tuner module may be phantom powered based on connection to a remote system geographically distinct from the apparatus, and configured to measure the pitch of the instrument signal and mute the instrument signal simultaneously. In some example embodiments, the apparatus may also include a tuning transformer coupled to the musical instrument tuner module and the DI module, the tuning transformer configured to galvanically isolate a ground domain of the instrument signal from a ground domain of the remote system while the musical instrument tuner module measures the pitch of the musical instrument signal.

Harmony processing method and apparatus, device, and medium

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a harmony processing method and apparatus, a device, and a medium, and the method includes: acquiring a harmonic interval corresponding to a target harmony control in response to a triggering operation on the target harmony control; performing, according to the harmonic interval, sound modification processing on a first sound input originally to obtain a second sound, in which an interval between the first sound and the second sound is the harmonic interval; and generating a target audio according to the first sound and the second sound, wherein the first sound and the second sound are presented as different harmonic parts in the target audio.

STRINGLESS BOWED MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
20170103741 · 2017-04-13 · ·

A stringless electric bowed musical instrument is disclosed in which sensors are provided to detect finger positions and bowing motions of the player. A touch-sensitive fingerboard surface is equipped with pitch sensors that detect finger positions. Use of a fingerboard surface that includes an interactive flexible touch screen display provides a plurality of illumination patterns to be displayed on the fingerboard and permits various operational modes that are useful for both students and artists. A bowing platform in contact with either the fingerboard or the body of the instrument provides an adjustable bowing surface for including bow sensors configured to detect vibrations in response to bow motion. The bow sensors may include piezo-ceramic elements. Optical pitch sensors may sense interruption of one or more laser beams that propagate above a top surface of the fingerboard.

MUSICAL SOUND GENERATOR
20170032771 · 2017-02-02 ·

A musical sound generator is provided including a tube defining a resonant cavity, the tube having a plurality of sound producing chimes configured to produce an audible sound when at least one object impacts on at least one of the chimes; a reservoir configured to hold a number of objects; and a transfer mechanism configured to transfer the objects from the reservoir to an elevated position within the resonant cavity, wherein the objects fall down from the elevated position within the resonant cavity by gravity after being transferred by the transfer mechanism, to strike the plurality of sound producing chimes; and wherein the position of the reservoir is configured to be moved depending on the level of the objects held in the reservoir.
