DEVICE FOR GUITAR
A hand-operated device for use with a guitar to operate an external or internal sound signal processing device, wherein the hand-operated device can be actuated by a hand used in the strumming of the guitar. The device can be mounted to the body of the guitar and in proximity to the strings of the guitar. The device includes a switch or lever that can be actuated by the guitarists and the actuation of the switch results in a signal to operate the external or internal sound signal processing device, wherein the signal is sent by a transmitter also disposed within a housing of the device.
MODULAR GUITAR WITH TOOL-FREE INTERCHANGEABLE PICKUP
A modular electric guitar system is disclosed that includes tool-free interchangeable body components, including tool-free sides of a guitar body which may alter the instrument's overall shape, and tool-free interchangeable pickup cartridges to provide a dynamic range of instrument shape, size, and sound.
SOUND PROCESSING COMPONENT AND STRING INSTRUMENT EMPLOYING COMPONENT
A sound processing component applied to a string instrument for providing multiple playing forms and a MIDI function. An acquisition module acquires vibration information of multiple strings and outputs analog signals, and a first amplification and filter module amplifies the analog signals and filters the analog signals. A first conversion module converts the analog signals into digital signals, and a processing module identifies playing information of the digital signals, converts the digital signals to MIDI data based on the playing information, converts the MIDI data to audio data, and add audio effects for the audio data. A second conversion module converts the audio data with the audio effects into analog audio signals, and a second amplification and filter module amplifies the analog audio signals, filters the analog audio signals, and transmit the filtered analog audio signals to a loudspeaker. The string instrument is also provided.
Guitar neck and body joint
A stringed instrument, for example an electric guitar, comprises a neck and a body defining a neck and body joint. The neck and body joint includes a neck having a tapered tenon, and a body having a complementary tapered mortise surrounding the tapered tenon. The tapered tenon may be held within the tapered mortise with a tensioning device without the use of adhesives between surfaces of the tapered tenon and surfaces of the tapered mortise.
String instrument formed as an integral unit structure
Stringed musical instrument including a unitary structure formed integrally by a body, a neck and a head from a solid block of non-wood rigid material by computer numerical control (CNC) machining, with the pegs, the bridge, the fingerboard and the strings mounted on said unitary structure, front panels and rear panels that seal said body and a fingerboard machined by CNC as a single piece and connected to said unitary structure in a removable and interchangeable manner.
Electronic keyboard instrument and sound releasing method thereof
Provided is an electronic keyboard instrument and sound releasing method thereof. The electronic keyboard instrument includes: a plurality of keys, a housing that supports the plurality of keys, and one or more speakers arranged in the housing. At least one of the speakers is configured as a flat-plate speaker that includes a vibrating membrane on which a pattern of a conducting wire is formed and a pair of magnet plates disposed facing both surfaces of the vibrating membrane, and the flat-plate speaker vibrates the vibrating membrane with an electromagnetic force accompanying energization of the conducting wire.
ELECTRONIC DRUMS
An electronic drum, comprising: a bottom member; a drum head; a drum sensor comprising: a passive resonant circuit mounted on the drum head and having a resonant frequency; and an active resonant circuit mounted on the bottom member and configured to excite the passive resonant circuit at the resonant frequency; a sensor driver to drive the active resonant circuit with an RF drive signal at the resonant frequency; and a detector to detect a level of RF signal from the driven active resonant circuit for sensing a position and/or velocity of the drum head; and a signal processor, coupled to the detector, configured to process the detected level of RF signal to sense a position and/or velocity of the drum head for determining when the drum head is hit.
COMPUTER INPUT DEVICES
A sensing system for a computer input device. The sensing system comprises an actuator to attach to a key top or button. The actuator is moveable along an axis or hinged. The sensing system further comprises a biasing element to exert a biasing force on the actuator directed along the axis. The sensing system further comprises an actuator motion sensor associated with the actuator. The actuator motion sensor comprises a passive resonant circuit configured to be moved by the actuator and having a resonant frequency, an active resonant circuit configured to excite the passive resonant circuit at the resonant frequency, a sensor driver to drive the active resonant circuit with an RF drive signal at the resonant frequency, and a detector to detect a level of RF signal from a driven actuator motion sensor for sensing a position and/or velocity of the actuator.
ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS
This disclosure relates generally to electronic musical instruments, systems, and methods. More particularly, this disclosure relates to electronic percussion instruments such as tom toms, snare drums, bass drums, cymbals, and hi-hats, and assemblies of instruments (e.g., percussion instruments), such as drum sets. Even more particularly, this disclosure relates to wireless electronic percussion instruments, and percussion instruments with interchangeable and/or removable components to change the instrument between a traditional percussion instrument (that relies on resonance and/or vibration to produce sound) and an electronic percussion instrument. The present disclosure also relates to electronic cymbal instruments, such as cymbal assemblies and hi-hat assemblies, that can be used in conjunction with a traditional acoustic metal cymbal.
