Apparatus and a method of ultrasonically inspecting a component
An apparatus for ultrasonically inspecting a component of a gas turbine engine at a centre frequency required for ultrasonic inspection of the component. The apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transducer and a waveguide. The ultrasonic transducer and the waveguide are mounted in a holder, the holder is movably mounted in a carrier, and the carrier is movably mounted in a frame. The waveguide has a first end, a second end and a surface. The waveguide is circular in cross-section, the surface of the waveguide between the first end and the second end is concave, and the waveguide reduces in diameter from the first end to the second end. The length of the waveguide is equal to or greater than 0.5 times and equal to or less than 3 times the wavelength of an ultrasonic signal at the centre frequency required for the ultrasonic inspection.
Flexible imaging assembly for intraluminal imaging and associated devices, systems, and methods
An intraluminal imaging device includes a flexible elongate member sized and shaped for insertion into a vessel of a patient, the flexible elongate member including a proximal portion and a distal portion; and an imaging assembly disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, the imaging assembly including a flex circuit disposed in a rolled configuration, the flex circuit comprising a spine member and a plurality of rib members extending from the spine member. Associated devices, systems, and methods are also provided.

Bending mode transducers are provided including a substrate made of a high density material, the substrate having a first surface and a second surface, opposite the first surface. A piezoelectric layer is provided on the first surface of the substrate and at least one patterned electrode is provided on the piezoelectric layer. A mounting block is on the at least one patterned electrode at least one electrical contact point is provided on the first surface of the substrate remote from the at least one patterned electrode. Related devices and methods are also provided.
Flooded Member Detection by Means of Ultrasound
A sensor system for detecting water or air in a hollow member comprises a first acoustic sensor assembly in a first housing on one side of the hollow member, a second acoustic sensor assembly in a second housing on the opposite side, a controller unit connected to the first and/or second sensor assemblies, and where the first and second sensor assemblies and the controller unit are provided with power supply. Each of the first and second sensor assemblies comprises a set of probes connected to electronics for transmitting and receiving signals, and where the housings comprise fastening means for connecting the housings and the probes to the hollow member. The controller unit comprises a microcontroller, software for controlling and coordinating transmission and reception of signals between said probes, and means for registering and logging data generated by the sensor assemblies. A method detects water or air in a hollow member.
Transducer assembly
A transducer assembly for use in determining a health state of a joint (45) between first and second joined parts (42, 44); the transducer assembly comprising a transducer module (50) comprising a transducer element (100) for transmitting or receiving an ultrasonic signal to or from, respectively, the joint, and a mounting part (52) comprising an internal wedge portion (70), formed integrally with the mounting part (52), to which the transducer element (100) is fixed permanently so that the transducer module forms a unitary replaceable module.
Motorized pole mount for sonar transducers
The present invention is directed to a mounting device for a fish finding apparatus and, more particularly, to a motorized mounting device which includes an adjustable length pole used to mount a sonar transducer or other device an angler may be interested in mounting to the end of the pole that enters the water. The pole is used to spin the transducer or other apparatus in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction with a switch that is adapted to be operated by the angler's foot or a wireless remote. The spin speed may also be adjusted as desired by a variable speed switch. The mounting device is configured to be secured to a boat or mounted on a boat troll motor whereby the adjustable pole is secured and spins independent of the troll motor shaft.
Mounting assembly
A mounting assembly includes a mounting block. A first shaft is supported by the mounting block and movable about a first rotational axis and a first extension axis with respect to the mounting block. A second shaft is coupled to the first shaft and movable about a second rotational axis.
Hand held ultrasound probe
A portable ultrasound probe is described having a mechanical transducer, rotating mirror, and mirror motor. The transducer can be used for diagnostic imaging and procedural guidance imaging. The probe has a light weight design for easy one-handed use, and can use external processors to provide proper image display with accompanying software.
Sensor with chamber
A sensor with a chamber comprises a base, a cavity body, a sensing element, and a porous gel material. The cavity body is disposed on the base and has a cavity wall and an inner space formed inside the cavity wall, the sensing element is disposed on the cavity wall, and the porous gel material is disposed between the base and the cavity body, the porous gel material has a porosity of not less than 80%, so that gas is capable of communicating between the inner space of the cavity body and an outside, thereby forming a passage for gas to enter and exit to balance a pressure in the sensor with the chamber, increase a support of the sensor with the chamber, and reduce the risk of conventional bonding between the sensing element and the base using die-bonding adhesive.
INTERPOSER ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECT COUPLING METHODS, APPARATUSES, AND SYSTEMS
