A formula delivery appliance generally includes a formula delivery head having features to mix, direct, and distribute formulation through nozzles to a desired location, such as the hair or scalp of a user. In this regard, the formula delivery head may include a plurality of nozzles configured to discharge the formulation at a desired flow rate. In some instances, the flow rate across the plurality of nozzles is controlled such that each nozzle has a flow rate within a specified percentage of the average flow rate across the plurality of nozzles.

In one aspect, the formula delivery system delivers hair coloring formulation to the appliance. Formula delivery systems of the present disclosure generally include at least one fluid container configured to retain a volume of formulation for delivery of the formulation to a hair coloring appliance. In this regard, the formula delivery system may be configured to removably couple to an inlet member of the appliance that allows the appliance to draw the formulation from the fluid container for use within the appliance.

The comb includes a frame having a handle, a neck and a spine, the handle having a finger rest on an intermediate portion able to receive a first finger of the user, a plurality of tines coupled to the spine, and a support band coupled to opposing sides of the finger rest on the handle. The user's first finger is disposed between the finger rest and the support band. A second finger of the user is pressed against the neck to pivot the tines downward into a generally horizontal plane. Removal of the second finger from the neck permits tension between the support band and first finger to pivot the tines upward into a generally vertical plane.

Coloring of hairs are commonly done for various reasons. Commonly, a single hair dye is applied which leaves a uniform coloring of the hairs. However, many prefer having shades of hair coloring or two different coloring. Thus in this application methods and means are introduced that allows a differential coloring to be possible. In this method a hand held brush means allows a predicted amount of the hair dye to be carried to the hairs and applied. Also a special dye pan allows a predicted amount of hair dye to be applied to the brush units to make such goals possible.
