Methods and apparatus for analyzing microphone placement for watermark and signature recovery

Methods and apparatus to analyze microphone placement for watermarks and signatures are disclosed. An example instructions cause one or more processors to at least determine a variance of a magnitude spectrum of a frequency band corresponding to a frequency spectrum of a first audio signal sensed with an audio sensor. The example instructions further cause the one or more processors to determine, based on the variance, a recovery rate associated with at least one of watermark detection or signature generation to be performed on a second audio signal to be sensed with the audio sensor.

Electronic apparatus and control method thereof

An electronic apparatus includes a communication interface, and a processor configured to encrypt data in each of a plurality of sections of voice data, the voice data corresponding to a first user voice signal, and control the communication interface to transmit the encrypted data to a server. The processor is further configured to obtain an authentication key based on data in a first section of the plurality of sections, encrypted data in the first section having been transmitted to the server, and encrypt data in a second section to be transmitted by using the authentication key.

Method and system for recognizing a reproduced utterance

There is provided a method for operating a speaker device able to be activated by receiving and recognizing a predetermined wake up word. The method is executable at a server. The method comprises: capturing, by the speaker device, an audio signal having been generated in a vicinity of the speaker device; retrieving, by the speaker device, a processing filter, the processing filter being indicative of a pre-determined signal augmentation pattern representative of an excluded portion that has been excluded from an originating utterance having the wake up word, the originating utterance to be reproduced by an other electronic device; applying, by the speaker device, the processing filter to determine presence of the pre-determined signal augmentation pattern in the audio signal; based on determining the presence of the pre-determined signal augmentation pattern in the audio signal, determining that the audio signal has been produced by the other electronic device.

An example symbol-based watermark detection method disclosed herein includes, in response to a comparison of a first count of occurrences of a first potential symbol value corresponding to a first symbol within a watermark and a second count of occurrences of a second potential symbol value corresponding to the first symbol, (i) determining a first accumulated signal to noise ratio value corresponding to the occurrences of the first potential symbol value, (ii) determining a second accumulated signal to noise ratio value corresponding to the occurrences of the second potential symbol value, and (iii) selecting one of the first or the second potential symbol value having a greatest accumulated signal to noise ratio value as a likely symbol value for the first symbol. The example method also includes concatenating the likely symbol value with other likely symbol values corresponding to other symbols of the watermark to detect the watermark.

A conference terminal and an echo cancellation method for a conference are provided. In the echo cancellation method, a synthetic speech signal is received. The synthetic speech signal includes a user speech signal of a speaking party corresponding to a first conference terminal of multiple conference terminals and an audio watermark signal corresponding to the first conference terminal. One or more delay times corresponding to the audio watermark signal are detected in a received audio signal. The received audio signal is recorded through a sound receiver of a second conference terminal of the conference terminals. An echo in the received audio signal is canceled according to the delay time.

Audio group identification for conferencing

Systems and methods are disclosed for audio group identification for conferencing. For example, methods may include joining a conference call using a network interface; accessing an audio signal that has been captured using a microphone; detecting a control signal in the audio signal; and, responsive to detection of the control signal, invoking modification of an audio path of the conference call.

Methods and apparatus for supplementing partially readable and/or inaccurate codes in media

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for supplementing partially readable and/or inaccurate codes. An example apparatus includes a watermark analyzer to select a first watermark and a second watermark decoded from media; a comparator to compare a first decoded timestamp of the first watermark to a second decoded timestamp of the second watermark; and a timestamp adjuster to adjust the second decoded timestamp based on the first decoded timestamp of the second watermark when at least a threshold number of symbols of the second decoded timestamp match corresponding symbols of the first decoded timestamp.
