Playback Zone Management
Some embodiments of the disclosed systems and methods include displaying a graphical user interface comprising a first section and a second section, wherein the first section includes a first media icon corresponding to a first media item, and wherein the second section includes a first zone icon corresponding to a first zone comprising a first set of one or more playback devices; and in response to detecting a drag of the first media icon to the first zone icon, instructing at least one playback device in the first set of one or more playback devices to play the first media item corresponding to the first media icon.
Method and device for controlling the selection of media files for playback
In a method for controlling the selection of media files for playback, graphical objects are displayed, and each media file is assigned to one graphical object in each case. In addition, first probabilities, by which the media files are selected for playback, are indicated in the method via a feature of the graphical objects. An operating action by a user, by which the feature of at least one graphical object is modified, is detected. Moreover, second probabilities are assigned to the graphical objects as a function of the modification of the feature of the at least one graphical object. The media files are selected for replay as a function of the second probabilities. In addition, a device is arranged for controlling the selection of media files for replay purposes.
Systems and Methods for Networked Music Playback
A network device is configured to perform functions including (i) operating in a first playback-control mode including retrieving, via a first network interface, first media in a playback queue and streaming, via a second network interface to a headphone, the first media (ii) while streaming the first media to the headphone, displaying a representation of one or more playback devices in a media playback system, (iii) receiving input indicating a selection of a given playback device, (iv) based on the input, causing the given playback device to obtain data indicating the second media in the playback queue, use the obtained data to retrieve the second media, and play back the retrieved second media, and (v) after receiving the input, stopping streaming the retrieved first media and transitioning from operating in the first playback-control mode to operating in a second playback-control mode to control the given playback device's playback of the second media.
Predefined multi-channel listening environment
An example method includes, based on an adjustment to a first displayed volume control, instructing the first playback device to adjust playback volume level; based on an adjustment to a second displayed volume control, instructing the second playback device to adjust playback volume level; after sending the commands, instructing the first and/or second playback device to process an audio stream into a first and/or second channel and to reproduce a respective one of the first and second channel, wherein the grouped first and second playback devices provide multi-channel sound; and based on an adjustment to a third displayed volume control, instructing the first and/or second playback device to adjust a group volume level for both the first and second playback devices.

DISK DEVICE
A disk device includes a housing having a sidewall, the side wall having a first through-hole; a magnetic disk rotatably disposed in the housing and surrounded by the sidewall in a radial direction; a flexible printed circuit electrically connected to the magnetic disk; an insulator closing the first through-hole; a wireless communication device having a first communication antenna inside the housing; and a control board electrically connected to the flexible printed circuit. The control board is supplied with power from outside of the housing via a first connector, and is configured to receive a write command or a read command via the first communication antenna.
Media device
A device can include a processor; memory operatively coupled to the processor; a planar display operatively coupled to the processor where the planar display includes an axis normal to the planar display; media circuitry operatively coupled to the processor; motion sensing circuitry operatively coupled to the processor; and processor-executable instructions to instruct the device to, responsive to sensed rotational motion of the device about the axis that corresponds to a rotational reference frame, render video media to the display in a stationary reference frame.

Playback Queue Control
Example techniques involve control of a media playback system involving multiple zones. A control application may include different control interfaces for respective zones of the multiple zones. A control interface for a given zone may include transport controls to control playback in the zone, volume controls to control zone volume level, and an indication of media playing back in the zone. A user may utilize swipe inputs to switch between the control interfaces in order to control different zones.
JUKEBOX WITH CUSTOMIZABLE AVATAR
A digital downloading jukebox system including a mechanism for delivering custom services to a recognized user is provided. For example, information specific to a recognized user may be stored and optionally may include a recognized user avatar representative of the recognized user. The user avatar may be an image, video, and/or animation, which may be displayed on and/or played through the jukebox. The user avatar may be associated with transactions associated with the user. For example, an avatar may be displayed when a playlist of the recognized user is played, when a message is sent, etc. In other examples, the avatar may introduce instances of media by playing an audio and/or video message, and the avatar may sing, dance, etc. while an instance of media is playing.
