Hard drive assembly with onboard tuned data memory
A hard disk assembly (HDAs) that include a tuning data memory at least including tuning data regarding the HDA. The HDAs may lack an internal disk controller, but rather may communicate the tuning data and/or other HDA-specific data (e.g., firmware, certification data, etc.) to a reader device comprising a disk controller. In this regard, the reader device may coordinate with the HDA once the tuning data is received to operate the HDA to perform TO commands in response to commands received at the reader device from a host. In turn, upon failure of an HDA, a new HDA may be swapped into place to communicate with the reader device. Because the HDAs may lack onboard disk controllers, the cost and complexity of each HDA may be reduced.
Systems and methods for information capture
Disclosed herein are information capture systems and related methods. An information capture system includes a sensor secured to an object configured to be involved with a possible event. The sensor is configured to detect one or more stimuli that are associated with the possible event, and transmit a sensor signal indicating data corresponding to the one or more stimuli. The information capture system also includes a recording device configured to record information responsive to a triggering event determined from the sensor signal. A method includes analyzing sensor data from the sensor, determining, from the sensor data, that a triggering event occurred, and recording post-trigger information following the determination of the triggering event.

COMPUTER PROGRAM, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING MULTIPLE DATA RECORDING DEVICES
A multiple recording device management system including an intermediate multiple recording device managing apparatus, a vehicle recording device mounted in a police vehicle and synced to the managing apparatus, and a personal recording device carried by a police officer and wirelessly synced to the managing apparatus. The managing apparatus is operable to detect when the vehicle recording device, personal recording device, or any other synced device in range has begun recording and to transmit a communication signal to any synced recording device in range indicating that the recording device should begin recording and to further transmit a time stamp to synced recording devices for corroborating recorded data.
Systems and Methods for Networked Music Playback
An example system is configured to (i) cause a client station to operate in a first mode in which the client station is configured for playback of a remote playback queue provided by a cloud-based computing system associated with a cloud-based media service, (ii) cause a zone player to take over playback responsibility for the remote playback queue, (iii) cause the zone player to (a) communicate with the cloud-based computing system to obtain data identifying a next one or more media items in the remote playback queue, (b) use the obtained data to retrieve at least one media item in the remote playback queue from the cloud-based media service, and (c) play back the retrieved at least one media item, and (iv) cause the client station to transition from the first mode to a second mode in which the client station is configured to control the zone player's playback of the remote playback queue.
Media recording element
A media recording element having capabilities to facilitate recording media for subsequent playback. The recording element further including features associated with limited operations of a hard drive of other similarly mechanical memory under certain operating conditions so as to limit power consumption and/or memory degradation.

Systems and methods for networked music playback
An example zone player is configured to receive, from a cloud-based computing system, (i) an instruction for the zone player to accept playback responsibility for a remote playback queue, and (ii) data for retrieving at least a first media item identified in the remote playback queue from a cloud-based media service. The zone player is also configured to retrieve, from the cloud-based media service, the first media item and begin to play back the first media item. The zone player is also configured to request at least one additional media item from the remote playback queue and then (i) receive, from the cloud-based computing system, data for retrieving at least a second media item identified in the remote playback queue from the cloud-based media service, (ii) retrieve from the cloud-based media service, the second media item, and (iii) begin to play back the second media item.
