Reproduction device, reproduction method, and recording medium
The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of one aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device decodes the coded data and converts the extended video obtained by decoding the coded data to the standard video on the basis of the brightness conversion definition information.
Generating Multi-Sensory Media Channels from a Base Digital Waveform for Delivery in a Vibroacoustic Therapy Bed
A multi-sensory media experience delivery platform includes a vibroacoustic therapy bed that delivers a multi-sensory media experience locally stored, streaming, on-demand, or real-time signals. The vibroacoustic therapy bed drives a plurality of sensory output devices based on a set of sensory output channels to produce sounds, vibrations, light patterns, or other sensory outputs. The channels may be derived from dedicated signals created for a specific sensory output device or may be derived from an audio file or other general set of waveforms. The multi-sensory media experience may be customized to a user based on user profile data, metadata associated with the multi-sensory media experience, or biometric data. Furthermore, users can create customized multi-sensory media experiences from libraries of sounds or other media.
Reader bias based locking technique enabling high read concurrency for read-mostly workloads
A data object has a lock and a condition indicator associated with it. Based at least partly on detecting a first setting of the condition indicator, a reader stores an indication that the reader has obtained read access to the data object in an element of a readers structure and reads the data object without acquiring the lock. A writer detects the first setting and replaces it with a second setting, indicating that the lock is to be acquired by readers before reading the data object. Prior to performing a write on the data object, the writer verifies that one or more elements of the readers structure have been cleared.
Magnetic disk device and method of compensating for harmonic corresponding to harmonic disturbance
According to one embodiment, a magnetic disk device includes a disk, a head that writes data to the disk and reads data from the disk, an actuator that is rotationally driven and controls movement of the head mounted on the disk, and a controller that estimates a fundamental frequency of a position error signal generated in positioning control of the head, the fundamental frequency corresponding to a disturbance having harmonics, determines the fundamental frequency, determines the number of delay samples based on the fundamental frequency, and suppresses a multiplied frequency that is a harmonic of the fundamental frequency according to the number of the delay samples.
Shooting control method and terminal
A shooting control method includes displaying, by a terminal, a first screen that is not a video recording viewfinder screen, receiving, by the terminal, a first operation of a user on the first screen, displaying, in response to the first operation, a second screen, starting, in response to the first operation, to record a first video, and buffering, in response to the first operation, the first video, when the terminal detects a second operation, in response to the detected second operation, stopping, by the terminal, a video recording, and displaying, in response to the detected second operation, a third screen prompting the user to determine whether to save the first video, and saving or deleting the first video according to a selection operation of the user on the third screen.
Direct current (DC) level shifting circuit for use in the detection of media defects within a magnetic recording media
Various circuits, systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed to provide dynamic direct current (DC) level shifting for use with a summing component of a quad channel detector (QCD) of a media scanning system configured to detect carbon voids or other defects on the surface of a magnetic recording medium. In an example, a summing circuit receives separate input signals from four optical sensors of the scanning system and generates a summed output signal with an alternating current (AC) component representative of a defect and a direct current (DC) component representative of a total power of an optical transmitter of the scanning system. A DC level shifting circuit receives a fixed DC offset signal and the same four variable input signals. The DC level shifting circuit provides dynamic level shifting of the DC component of the summed output signal based on the fixed DC offset and the four input signals.
METHOD FOR AUDIO MIXING, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Provided are a method and device for audio mixing, and non-transitory computer-readable medium. The method comprises: acquiring a current system volume parameter of a terminal apparatus; adjusting an audio mixing parameter for audio material according to the system volume parameter and a frequency range of the audio material; performing audio mixing processing on the audio material according to the audio mixing parameter; and playing the processed audio material. In the invention, an audio mixing parameter of audio material can be adjusted according to an acquired current system volume parameter of a terminal apparatus and a frequency of the audio material, thereby applying different audio mixing parameters to the audio material according to different system volume parameters, and accordingly playing the audio material according to the audio mixing parameters.
