System for efficient recovery of node-B buffered data following MAC layer reset

A method and system for the UE and RNC to reduce transmission latency and potentially prevent loss of PDUs upon a MAC-hs layer reset. The RNC generates a radio resource control (RRC) message with a MAC-hs reset indication. The MAC reset indication requires the UE to flush buffers for configured HARQ processes, disassemble MAC protocol data units (PDUs) in the reordering buffers, deliver MAC-d PDUs to a MAC-d layer, and configure the MAC-hs to receive new data.

Enhancing an audio recording

A system and method are provided for enhancing an audio recording which comprises a recording of a sound signal obtained from the play-out of an audio signal via a speaker. The audio signal, and thereby the sound signal, may represent certain audio content, e.g., a radio station or TV audio. To perform the enhancing, the recording of the sound signal is suppressed using the audio signal, thereby obtaining an intermediate audio recording. An original version of the audio content is then added to the intermediate audio recording to obtain an enhanced audio recording. This original version is generally of higher quality as it generally does not represent a background audio component but rather was purposefully recorded or generated.

CLOCKING SCHEME IN NONLINEAR SYSTEMS FOR DISTORTION IMPROVEMENT

Systems and methods are provided for clocking scheme to reduce nonlinear distortion. An example system may comprise at least two processing paths, each comprising at least one circuit exhibiting nonlinear behavior. Nonlinearity may be managed during processing of signals, such as by assessing effects of the nonlinear behavior during the processing of signals, and controlling clocking applied via at least one path based on the assessed effects, to reduce the effects of the nonlinear behavior during the processing of signals, eliminating the need for post-processing corrections. The controlling of clocking may comprise adjusting timing of a clock applied in the at least path, such as by introducing a timing-delay adjustment to a clock when the clock is applied to a circuit after the circuit exhibiting nonlinear behavior. A timing-advancement may be applied to signals processed via the at least one path, particularly before the circuit exhibiting nonlinear behavior.

The system and corresponding process includes a system for producing a mechanical image of original audio source media and a system for encoding the mechanical image information into a digital file. A processing system recovers the mechanical image information from the digital file at a receiving end. Audio processing is used to produce the original audio source material without the standard losses associated with digital encoding of audio material
