FLAVOR ASPIRATOR

A flavor aspirator includes: a weight-concentrated part that is provided at a position off the mouthpiece end and closer to the mouthpiece end side than to a midpoint position between the mouthpiece end and the distal end, and that accounts for at least approximately half of a total weight of the flavor aspirator. A value of (a length from the mouthpiece end to the center of gravity)/(a total length defined by a length from the mouthpiece end to the distal end) is in a range of 0.20 to 0.45.

MODIFIED CARBON MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR REDUCING CARBONACEOUS MATERIAL IGNITION TEMPERATURE

A modified carbon material, including a carbonaceous material and a water-insoluble modifier combined with the carbonaceous material, wherein the water-insoluble modifier is CuO, the carbonaceous material is one of or a mixture of biomass carbon or carbon black, a mass of the water-insoluble modifier is being 0.1-10 wt % of the carbonaceous material. The method for preparing the modified carbon material includes: (1) soaking the carbonaceous material in a copper sulfate solution for 5 to 36 hours, and (2) adding an alkali solution into a solution obtained in step (1) to provide a pH value ≥12, and after keeping the pH value for 0.5 to 2 hours, filtering and drying to obtain a solid. (3) using the carbonaceous material as a combustion heat source to reduce the ignition temperature, increase or reduce the peak thermal power temperature.

Method and system for providing a heat-not-burn tobacco product
11083215 · 2021-08-10 ·

A heat-not-burn tobacco aerosol source member or consumable includes a first heating section with a front end. The first heating section contains a liquid aerosol precursor existing as a free liquid in an unbound form. A second heating section is provided with a mouth end. The second heating section contains a solid tobacco substrate. A first thermal barrier that is vapor permeable but liquid impermeable is located between the first heating section and the second heating section. The system has a simple structure and lowers processing costs, and greatly reduces undesirable harmful chemicals because of its lower heating temperatures for the first and second heating sections of the consumable.

A smoking article is provided, having opposed lighting and mouth ends, and including a mouth end portion at the mouth end. A tobacco portion is between the lighting end and the mouth end portion. An aerosol-generation system is between the lighting end and the tobacco portion. The aerosol-generation system includes a heat generation portion, comprising an elongate fluted member actuated by ignition of the lighting end. The fluted member defines grooves extending longitudinally between opposed first and second ends, with the first end being at the lighting end and the grooves being equidistantly spaced apart about the fluted member. Each groove has a maximum depth. The depth maxima of the grooves define a circle having a radius. The maximum depth of each groove is no more than the radius of the circle. A heat generation apparatus for an aerosol-generation system of a smoking article is also provided.
