The invention relates to a filter material for a smoking product, comprising a nonwoven material, wherein the nonwoven material is hydro-entangled, the hydro-entangled nonwoven material contains min. 50% and max. 90% wood cellulose fibres, min. 10% and max. 50% fibres from regenerated cellulose and less than 30% non-natural polymers, in relation to the mass of the hydro-entangled nonwoven material, and together the amount of wood cellulose fibres and fibres from regenerated cellulose make up at least 70% of the mass of the hydro-entangled nonwoven material, and the hydro-entangled nonwoven material has a density of min 100 kg/m.sup.3 and max. 300 kg/m.sup.3 and a thickness of min. 100 μm and max. 1000 μm. The invention also relates to a segment with the filter material, a smoking product and a production method.

The invention relates to a filter material and/or filler material for mouthpieces for use with smoking products or HNB products, the filter material and/or filler material being based on cellulose acetate filaments, at least parts of which are in the form of hollow cellulose acetate filaments. The invention also relates to a mouthpiece for use with smoking products or HNB products, the mouthpiece comprising a filter material and/or filler material of the type according to the invention. The invention also relates to a cigarette filter comprising such a filter material and/or filler material, and to a corresponding method for manufacturing a filter material and/or filler material for mouthpieces for use with smoking products or HNB products.

Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a smoking article filter having a flavoring agent uniformly distributed in the smoking article filter, which is in a solid state at room temperature and includes at least one natural wax and a flavoring component soaked into the at least one natural wax.

A filter strip is provided for rolling sheets to construct custom cigars and/or cigarettes. The filter strip may be made of a deformable material which can be positioned on one end of the rolling sheet. The filter strip can be folded in a zig zag or spiral filter section with open section located longitudinally below to form a filter tip. The filter tip can assist the user in rolling by hand a substantially cylindrical or conical cigar or cigarette. The filter tip prevents tobacco filler material from being drawn through the cigar or cigarette and into a user's mouth, and permits the entire amount of tobacco filler to be consumed/smoked without risking burned hands and/or lips.

The method for drying filter rods comprises the steps of providing a filter rod, providing a support surface for receiving the filter rod and guiding the filter rod on the support surface by a guide element arranged above the support surface. The method further comprises the step of supplying a gas stream of compressed gas having a pressure between 0 and 6 bar to the filter rod through the guide element when the filter rod is transported along the support surface, before wrapping the filter rod with a wrapping material.

A method for producing smoking articles, in particular cigarettes, each comprising a respective first tobacco rod portion; the method comprises the step of cutting a second rod portion, which is four times the length of the first rod portion, crosswise so as to obtain third rod portions, which are twice the length of the first rod portion; the third rod portions are offset and aligned so as to be fed in succession; the speed at which the third rod portions are conveyed before the offsetting procedure is smaller than the speed at which they are conveyed after the offsetting procedure.
