Connectors for adjusting the location and/or orientation of a helmet accessory relative to a helmet are disclosed. In some embodiments, a connector may have a single lock and/or a single actuator that a user uses to selectively restrict or permit adjustment of the helmet accessory in multiple directions, including translating and/or rotating the helmet accessory relative to the helmet along one or more axes of translation and/or rotation.

A clip for mounting devices on a hat brim includes a first and second panel. The panels are each resiliently connected to a nose portion and separated by a spacing that tapers to a contact point from the distal portions of the panels to their proximal portions. The second panel has a wedge-shaped portion in which the width of the panel increases from its distal end to its proximal end. The bottom surface of the first panel is concave, the preferable concavity being close to that of the curvature of a hat brim. The top surface of the second panel is convex. The preferable convexity is close to that of the curvature of the brim. The top surface of the second panel includes a channel adapted to receive the fabric border of the undersurface of a hat brim. The top surface of the first panel includes at its proximal end structure adapted to receive an accessory device.

A leg strap adapter may include a leg strap adapter plate, an attachment member, and at least two slots configured to receive a strap. The leg strap adapter is configured to be rotatably attached to a belt engaging member by the attachment member and the belt engaging member is configured to mount a holster. The attachment member may include a central post projecting distally from the user distal face of the leg strap adapter plate, and at least one radial protrusion projecting radially from the central post. The attachment member may be configured to engage with a corresponding at least one opening comprised on the belt engaging member.

A carrying device for a tool, including a receiving device with a receiving space for receiving the tool and with a retaining device for rotatably mounting and fastening the receiving device to a base part. The retaining device has a first retaining device associated with the receiving device and a second retaining device associated with the base part. A latch device includes a first latch associated with the receiving device and a second latch associated with the base part in order to latch the receiving device in different positions relative to the base part.
