Provided herein are systems and methods for implementing a network consensus for a blockchain network that is characterized by one or more, or all, of the following attributes: (1) implementation of a Proof-of-Coverage scheme; (2) lack of permission for nodes to participate in the network; (3) decentralization, with lack of incentives to centralize; (4) byzantine fault tolerance; (5) based on useful work to the network; (6) high confirmed transaction rate; and (7) censor-resistant transactions.
Mitigation of cyberattacks on cellular devices
A pause command is sent to a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card of a cellular device in response to detecting a cyberattack against the cellular device on the cellular network. To mitigate the cyberattack, the SIM card temporarily disconnects the cellular device from the cellular network for a pause time. The SIM card prohibits the cellular device from connecting to the cellular network during the pause time and automatically allows the cellular device to reconnect to the cellular network after the pause time.

A domain name system service discovery DNS-SD compliant request for a network service type is transmitted by an Internet-of-Things network subscriber to a network having at least one host that provides network services. At least one domain name system service discovery DNS-SD compliant response to the request is received from one of the hosts. The response comprises a text field having a network service identifier. A connection request is transmitted by the Internet-of-Things network subscriber to the host to which the network service identifier is assigned and which provides the desired network service.

The method also includes steps of detecting anomalies by statistically evaluating the repair or troubleshooting cases stored on service platform and creating a notification in the event of a detected anomaly, supplying the data of the field devices and the notifications to a machine learning or prognosis system, and evaluating the data of the field devices and the notifications by means of the machine learning or prognosis system for forecasting series errors of the field devices.

The device may receive, from the user equipment, the packet that includes a network address and a port identifier of a port of the user equipment. The device may provide, to a firewall associated with the application server, an identifier, the network address, and the port identifier. The device may cause, via the firewall, the reachability data, the network address, and the port identifier to be provided to the application server to enable the application server to provide data to the user equipment.
