In one embodiment, a grip for coupling to a portable handheld device includes a base, a cap assembly, and at least two flexure bearings connecting the base and the cap assembly. Each flexure bearing includes a cap attachment section, an upper arm section, a lower arm section, a base attachment section, an upper hinge, a middle hinge, and a lower hinge. The cap attachment section is attached to the cap assembly such that a distance d.sub.c is formed between the upper hinge and a centerline of the cap assembly. The base attachment section is attached to the base such that a distance d.sub.s is formed between the lower hinge and a centerline of the base. The distance d.sub.c is smaller than the distance d.sub.s, and a length L.sub.c of the upper arm section is smaller than a length L.sub.s of the lower arm section.

A strap for releasably retaining one or more articles. The strap includes a flexible elongate body and a buckle coupled to the first end. The body has a first region adjacent a first end of the body, a second region adjacent a second end of the body, and a central region positioned between the first and second regions. The central region of the body defines a plurality of spaced apart fastening holes. The first region defines a strap opening for receiving the second end of the strap and releasably engaging a portion of the body. The buckle includes a frame including a proximal region coupled to the first end of the body, a distal region, and first and second side regions between the proximal and distal region. The second side region includes a gateway for releasably receiving any region of the body.

An implement holder is disclosed. One embodiment provides an implement retention device including a main body having an attachment surface to secure the implement retention device to a mounting surface, a device retention surface having a retention slot that is wider than a device to be stored therein, the retention slot having a first side having an overhanging portion on at least a proximal end of the slot and a second side having an overhanging portion on at least a distal end of the retention slot, and a first magnet adjacent to the first side overhanging portion and a second magnet adjacent to the second overhanging portion, wherein when an implement is situated within the retention slot, the magnets rotate the implement and secures it behind the first overhanging portion and second overhanging portion. A multi-use hygienic door opener device with a hook-like configuration and an integral keypad contacting push button knob that allows a user to hygienically open doors without touching the door handles and that can be conveniently carried. Furthermore, the integral keypad contacting push button hook and knob multi-use feature also allows the user to operate public keypads without touching the keypad. For convenience, an integral key ring feature keeps the present door opener device handy, as one always carries their keys. Using PIN keypads without worry about germs is now possible at gas stations, grocery stores, and the like.

An articulating hook apparatus for hanging an article from a structure includes a housing. The hook apparatus having connectors that extend from the housing. Each of the connectors including a plurality of links that connect pivotally to each other in series. The plurality of links having a starting link and a last link. The starting link connects to respective connectors. The last link connects to an articulating hook. The connectors operate between a retracted position and an extended position. The connectors retract and allow the plurality of links and the hooks to fold adjacent to the perimeter of the housing. The connectors enable both a J- and an S-shaped configuration.
