CIGARETTE FILTER CONTAINING NATURAL PLANT MATERIAL, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND CIGARETTE INCLUDING THE FILTER
Disclosed is a cigarette filter including: natural plant based granules composed of a natural plant material and a binder; and a filter portion to accommodate therein the natural plant based granules, in which the binder is hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), and a weight ratio of the natural plant material and the binder is in a range of 95 to 99%:5 to 1%. Further, disclosed are a preparation method of the cigarette filter, and a cigarette including the cigarette filter.
VENTILATED AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE WITH INDUCTION HEATING
An aerosol-generating article is provided for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating, the article including: a rod of aerosol-generating substrate; a downstream section at a location downstream of the rod and including an aerosol-cooling element in longitudinal alignment with the rod, in which the aerosol-cooling element includes a hollow tubular segment that defines a cavity extending all the way from an upstream end to a downstream end of the hollow tubular segment; and a ventilation zone at a location along the hollow tubular segment, the hollow tubular segment having a length of less than about 10 millimetres, in which a volume ratio between a ventilation airflow admitted into the article via the ventilation zone at the location along the hollow tubular segment and a sum of an airflow from the rod and the ventilation airflow is of from about 25 percent to about 45 percent.
Paper Forming a Cavity Between a Tobacco Rod and a Filter Segment
The invention relates to a Heat-Not-Burn smoking construction with at least one tobacco segment, at least one cooling tube and a filter comprising an upstream hollow filter segment and a downstream filled filter segment. The filter segments are wrapped with at least one first combining wrapper. The cooling tube and the filter are surrounded by a second combining wrapper or tipping paper extending partially on the tobacco segment to attach the filter and cooling tube to the tobacco segment. The cooling tube is formed between the filter and the tobacco segment by the first combining wrapper, which surrounds the filter and forms a cavity between the tobacco segment and the filter to provide a cavity that extends a length beyond the upstream hollow filter segment. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing one or two heat-not-burn smoking constructions.

AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE COMPRISING AN AEROSOL-COOLING ELEMENT WITH PERIPHERAL OPENINGS
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a rod of aerosol-generating substrate including an aerosol former, the substrate having an aerosol former content of greater than 10 percent on a dry weight basis; a hollow tubular support element immediately downstream of the rod; and a first aerosol-cooling element downstream of the support element and including a hollow tubular segment including peripheral and transverse walls at a location between upstream and downstream ends of the tubular segment such that it defines a first cavity upstream of the transverse wall and a second cavity downstream of the transverse wall, the transverse wall including openings establishing fluid communication between the first and second cavities, and the peripheral wall including openings located at longitudinal positions away from the transverse wall so that fluid communication between an exterior of the tubular segment and at least one of the first and second cavities is established.
Flavor delivery article
A flavor delivery article is provided including a substantially rod-shaped carrier element and a wrapping element. The wrapping element surrounds at least a portion of the carrier element. The delivery article includes a flavor material within one or both of the carrier element and the wrapping element. The flavor delivery article is adapted for delivery of the flavor material to the mouth of a user under mouth conditions in the absence of combustion or other external heating.
Smoking apparatus filtration device and related technologies
A filtration apparatus for use in a smoking apparatus has an inlet port and an outlet port. A filter pass-through tube is connected between the inlet and outlet ports. The filter pass-through tube has a blockage structure therein. A plurality of dispersion ports are positioned on a first side of the blockage structure and a plurality of collection ports positioned on a second side of the blockage structure. A filter chamber having a quantity of filtration material is positioned external of the filter pass-through tube and in fluid communication with the plurality of dispersion and collection ports. The filtration apparatus may be used in a smoking apparatus having a bowl, a water-impervious vessel having a stem extending therefrom, and a draw tube in fluid connection with the water-impervious vessel.
