Protective garments and methods for using same
Disclosed herein are protective garments and methods for using the same. In one aspect, the garment includes a garment body configured to be worn on a portion of a wearer's body, the garment body comprising at least one protective segment configured to block a predetermined level of radiation. Also disclosed herein are method of making the disclosed garments and methods for using the disclosed garments.
RADIATION SHIELDING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
In general, radiation shielding systems that shield radiation from multiple directions are described. In one embodiment, method of shielding radiation is provided, including orienting the rigid radiation shield in a selected position relative to a patient, and attaching a flexible radiation shield to the rigid radiation shield such that the flexible rigid radiation shield includes a first generally vertical portion that covers a gap between the rigid radiation shield and the patient.
Material configuration enabling flexibility of a structure using rigid components
A light-weight radiation protection panel comprising radiation protection layer and a flexible material. The radiation protection layer comprises a plurality of a shielding material distributed in repeated and adjacent units of geometrical shapes, the light-weight radiation protection panel being able to be embodied in a wearable garment providing flexibility.

Personal radiation protection garment using radiation protective layers
A personal radiation protection garment apparatus is described. The garment is equipped with multiple layers, including a central protective layer, which helps to prevent the unwanted application of radiation to an individual when worn. Multiple sections of the garment are joined by overlapping seams. The protective layer includes a first and a second partially lapping radiation-protective panels, with the first panel attached to the first layer at a first attachment zone, and the second panel attached to the second layer at a second attachment zone. The first panel is configured to overlap the second panel across the second attachment zone, providing a continuous protective covering of the second attachment zone, and the second panel overlaps the first panel across the first attachment zone as well.
