TIGHT DEVICE GIVING ACCESS TO AN ENCLOSURE, AS WELL AS A CORRESPONDING TIGHT CONNECTION SYSTEM BETWEEN TWO ENCLOSURES
20220165443 · 2022-05-26 ·

A tight device including a flange joined to an enclosure to connect interior and exterior of the enclosure via a through opening of the flange, a door moving between closed and open configurations, and a joint integral with the flange and joining the through opening from the door in the closed configuration. To limit risk of pollution when transferring sterile material through the device, a tubular member is mounted on the flange to move between a retracted position, where the tubular member is arranged outside the through opening when the door is in the closed configuration, and a deployed position, where the tubular member is arranged in the through opening so as to cover the joint when the door is in the open configuration. An elastic member drives the tubular member from its retracted to its deployed position when the door is in the open configuration.

Diaphragm-like protection for equipping a sheath lining a passage through a wall

A biological protection for closing an opening in a wall delimiting a radiation zone, this protection comprising at least one iris diaphragm with a base in the form of a flat disk carrying petals formed by plates having a triangular contour and made of a material protecting against ionising radiation. These petals are movable parallel to the base between an open state in which the petals delimit together a central aperture and a closed state in which the petals are closely joined to form together a continuous closed wall.

A shield for a cyclotron housing, capable of being retro-fitted to preinstalled cyclotron housings, which have a base and door configured for relative movement between open and closed configurations is provided. The shield comprises plurality of shielding layers removably stacked on top of a pedestal that is mounted to the top of the housing via spacers defining space or air gap between the pedestal and housing. The shield is positioned above and extending between the gap between housing door and base, such that the shield is positioned within the trajectory of the cyclotron beam.

STRUCTURAL-COUPLING SYSTEM FOR LASER AND METHOD OF USE
20230149983 · 2023-05-18 ·

A structural coupling for use within a laser system. In a preferred embodiment, a laser system for cleaning purposes would be displaced within a facility having dangerous conditions which could potentially damage the components of the laser, such as within a nuclear power facility. Protecting the laser components typically requires shielding which can fail, resulting in potential contamination of laser generator and components. The structural coupling would allow the laser to pass through a structural element to be used on the interior of the facility such that the end effector may be freely used within the facility while the mobile laser unit itself is safely stored outside of the dangerous area. The coupling allows the laser to pass through the structural element or opening to the end effector without exposing the laser itself to potential contamination

Vessel electrical penetration assembly for a nuclear reactor

A vessel electrical penetration assembly for a feed-through of nuclear reactor vessel, the assembly including: a docking tube to form an extension of the secondary containment barrier of the reactor, the docking tube including: a first end to be positioned in the interior of the vessel and to be mechanically and sealably connected to an actuator in the interior of the vessel, and a second end to be mechanically and sealably secured to the vessel; a seal-tight electrical bar that passes through the docking tube and having on either side seal-tight connectors ensuring an electrical link between the actuator and the exterior of the reactor; the seal-tight electrical bar including a system for limiting a leakage of primary liquid to the exterior of the vessel if the secondary containment barrier extension fails; and a mechanical maintaining system for securing, under the required pressure conditions, the electrical bar to the vessel.

METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING CANCER WITH ECM-AFFINITY PEPTIDES LINKED TO IMMUNOTHERAPEUTIC ANTIBODIES

The methods and compositions described herein address the need in the art by providing compositions and methods for a therapy with an antibody that is specifically targeted to and/or retained intra- or peri-tumorally, limiting systemic exposure and reducing side-effects. Accordingly, aspects of the disclosure relate to a composition comprising an immunotherapeutic antibody operatively linked to an extracellular matrix (ECM)-affinity peptide. An ECM-affinity peptide is one that has affinity for an extracellular matrix protein.

Described herein are components, systems, and methods of use of an integrated sterilization system comprising a pass-through logistics cabinet, an ozone sterilization system, a floor sterilization robot, and systems for controlling such components. An integrated operating room sterilization system will allow mitigation or elimination of risks (e.g., infrastructural risks (e.g., OI risks), procedural risks (e.g., risk of infection and contamination) that are associated with a setting in a healthcare environment. The elimination of clutter, control of major components under a unified and intuitive user interface, and the logical elimination of potential accumulated risk events (e.g., OI risks) and procedural risks are deliberately addressed, in whole or in part, by the present disclosure. The present disclosure describes the following: a pass-through logistics cabinet, an ozone sterilization system, a floor sterilization robot, and systems for controlling such components.
