Radiation Sensing Thermoplastic Composite Panels
A storage phosphor panel can include an extruded inorganic storage phosphor layer including a thermoplastic polymer and an inorganic storage phosphor material, where the extruded inorganic storage phosphor panel has an image quality comparable to that of a traditional solvent coated inorganic storage phosphor screen. Further disclosed are certain exemplary method and/or apparatus embodiments that can provide inorganic storage phosphor panels including a selected blue dye that can improve resolution. Certain exemplary storage phosphor panels include inorganic storage phosphor material with specific extrudable blue dye (copper phthalocyanine) for resolution greater than 16 line pairs per mm. Certain exemplary storage phosphor panel embodiments include any non-needle storage phosphor panel with resolution greater than or equal to 19 line pairs per mm.
Radiation Sensing Thermoplastic Composite Panels
A storage phosphor panel can include an extruded inorganic storage phosphor layer including a thermoplastic polymer and an inorganic storage phosphor material, where the extruded inorganic storage phosphor panel has an image quality comparable to that of a traditional solvent coated inorganic storage phosphor screen. Further disclosed are certain exemplary method and/or apparatus embodiments that can provide inorganic storage phosphor panels including reduced noise. Further disclosed are certain exemplary method and/or apparatus embodiments that can include inorganic storage phosphor layer including at least one polymer, an inorganic storage phosphor material, and a copper phthalocyanine based blue dye.
PLASTIC SCINTILLATOR BASED ON AN ORGANIC POLYADDITION PRODUCT
Provided are transparent molded bodies for use as a scintillator for measuring the type and intensity of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, including an organic polymer and, if desired, at least one additive which, under the influence of at least one of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, emits scintillation radiation in the range from UV to IR light, the aim is to improve optical and mechanical properties, robustness against environmental influences and the manufacturability. This was achieved in that the organic polymer at least in part contains a polyaddition product of polyfunctional isocyanates and one or more polyfunctional hardener components.
Radiological image conversion screen and flat panel detector
An object of the present invention is to provide a radiological image conversion screen where the flexibility and the storage stability of the radiological image conversion screen are sufficiently kept without phthalic acid ester while conventional sensitivity and sharpness being maintained, and another object thereof is to provide a radiological image conversion screen where a plasticizer in a phosphor layer is suppressed from volatilization and from transfer to other layers and/or films. The objects are solved by a radiological image conversion screen comprising a support substrate and a phosphor layer stacked on the support substrate, wherein the phosphor layer comprises phosphor particles, a polyvinyl acetal resin, and a carboxylic acid ester having an ether group.

PLASTIC SCINTILLATOR, DETECTOR, ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND SCINTILLATION MEASUREMENT PROCESS
Material for plastic scintillation measurement comprising: a polymeric matrix; a primary fluorophore incorporated in the polymeric matrix and composed of N-(2-ethylhexyl)carbazole, the monomer form of the N-(2-ethylhexyl)carbazole being spontaneously in physicochemical equilibrium with the exciplex form; and, a secondary fluorophore. A plastic scintillator can be manufactured in a simplified manner with the material of the invention, while having optimized properties for the plastic scintillation measurement. The invention also relates to the process for the manufacture of the material, to a part comprising the material and to the associated measurement device, and also to the process for measurement by plastic scintillation using the material.
