System and method for efficient material measurement and conversion
Exemplary embodiments of a Smart Cut system and method for efficiently and accurately converting material length using a powered saw, such as a miter saw, are disclosed. Certain embodiments are configured such that a user of a miter saw may position a board or other material beneath the miter saw blade, and cut the material to a desired length, without any need to mark a measurement on the material prior to cutting it. It is an advantage of certain embodiments that a typical retractable tape measurement device, a portable tool that is ubiquitous in the construction industry, may be leveraged to indicate proper positioning of the material prior to cutting.
CONVERGENCE MONITOR
A device for monitoring convergence between a first surface and a second surface, for example of a mine ceiling and floor, includes a measuring means having a plurality of measurements. The measuring means is attached to a support extending between and in contact with the first surface and the second surface. An indicator body and a release trigger are adapted for mounting in relation to the measuring means.
The indicator body has one or more warning indicators for providing a visual display upon convergence between the first surface and the second surface. The one or more warning indicators are adapted for display in response to activation of the release trigger.
Ruler
The present invention relates to the field of measurement technology, and provides a ruler which can solve the problem that the existing ruler has few kinds of scales and monotonous display content. The ruler of the present invention comprises a strip-like body for performing measurement, the strip-like body is a display screen, and the ruler further comprises a circuit unit, which is connected to the display screen and is used for driving the display screen to display. The ruler provided by the present invention can display rich measurement information when measuring an object.
TAPE MEASURE, MEASURING DEVICE, AND MEASURING METHOD
A tape measure, a measuring device, and a measuring method are provided. The tape measure includes a first shell, a tape, an optical positioning assembly, and a first controller. The tape has one end mounted in the first shell and the other end extending out of the first shell and capable of moving in a first measuring direction relative to the first shell. An imaging sensor in the optical positioning assembly, when working, is capable of consecutively acquiring images of the tape in a moving process and then performing feature comparison on the images to determine a relative displacement of the tape moving in the first measuring direction in real time. Further, the controller of the tape measure is capable of determining, based on the relative displacement, a length by which the tape extends out of the first shell.

Projection mapping system and apparatus
A marking and display system includes a scanning apparatus, comprising a processor in data communication with a networking device, at least one input/output device, and computer memory, the computer memory comprising a program having machine readable instructions that, when effected by processor, perform the following steps: (a) scan an area of interest for a first scan; (b) determine the presence of at least one abnormality at the area of interest; and (c) provide a marking at an area substantially adjacent the at least one abnormality.

Integral finger brake opening
A tape measure includes a housing with first and second housing portions; a reel configured to be secured between the first and second housing portions, the reel containing a tape blade wound thereon and partially extending therefrom terminating in a hook portion; and an integral component coupled to the first and second housing portions, including an aperture defining a finger brake, the finger brake exposing the tape blade for engagement by a user. The tape blade is biased to retract into the housing, winding around the reel, such that in a fully retracted position the hook portion abuts the portion of the mouth of the tape measure. In an extended position the tape blade is unwound from the reel such that the hook extends away from the integral component. An integral component including an aperture defining a tape measure mouth and a light emitter receiving slot is also disclosed.
