The groove measurement system, according to this aspect, includes a go measurement apparatus, the go measurement apparatus having first and second go gages protruding from one or more surfaces thereof, the first go gage having a go width (W.sub.G) generally equal to a minimum desirable groove width (W.sub.MI) of a desired groove, and the second go gage having a go depth (D.sub.G) generally equal to the minimum desirable groove depth (D.sub.MI). The groove measurement system, according to this aspect, additionally include a no-go measurement apparatus, the no-go measurement apparatus having first and second no-go gages protruding from one or more surfaces thereof, the first no-go gage having a no-go width (W.sub.NG) greater than the maximum desirable groove width (W.sub.MA), and the second no-go gage having a no-go depth (D.sub.NG) generally equal to the maximum desirable groove depth (D.sub.MA).
Method and apparatus for imaging a three-dimensional structure
A method for determining surface characteristics of an intraoral structure may include illuminating an intraoral structure with light of a first light source passing through focusing optics and capturing depth image data during the illumination with the first light source of light from the intraoral structure passing through the focusing optics. The method may also include illuminating the intraoral structure with a second light source and capturing two-dimensional image data during the illumination with the second light source. Depth data of the intraoral structure may be generated using the depth image data and the two-dimensional image data may be mapped to the depth data.
Aperture measuring device and an aperture measuring method
An aperture measuring device and aperture measuring method for measuring the size of the aperture of a through-hole in a conductive structure is described to reduce the aperture measurement time and improve the working efficiency. The aperture measuring device includes: an aperture testing component for being inserted into the through-hole, wherein the aperture measuring device includes a plurality of resistor segments with different diameters, the individual resistor segments being successively connected in series in an order of the sizes of their diameters; and a measuring module for measuring the resistance value of a resistor segment unable to be inserted into the through-hole in the aperture testing component to determine the size of the aperture of the through-hole.

Dual purpose datum device
A locator mechanism for checking dimensions of a component includes a stationary base that has sides that define a pocket that opens upwards. A locator block is disposed in, and moveable in, the pocket. At least one spring biases the locator block toward one of the sides of the stationary base. The locator block carries either a recess or a portion of a pin for engaging, respectively, either a boss or a hole of a component to be checked. The spring biases the locator block, and thus also the component, toward the one side of the stationary base to remove play in positioning of the component.

Device and method for measuring the thickness and position tolerance of a wheel bolt hole
A device and method for measuring the thickness and position tolerance of a wheel bolt hole. The device includes a screw, a handle, a detection pillar and a base plate, where the handle and the base plate are fixed via the screw; the detection pillar is fixed onto the base plate through interference fit; and the detection pillar a bolt hole. The position tolerance and thickness of a bolt hole are measured simultaneously, and the labor intensity is reduced, and the existing bolt hole position tolerance detection tool can be modified for the use as the tool of the device, saving costs. The tool can detect the thickness of a bolt hole and qualitatively determine the range where the difference between the value of bolt hole thickness and the standard value approximately lies, and can be used for the grading of bolt hole thickness values based.
