Oral care mouthpiece with brushing elements
This disclosure relates to oral care mouthpieces and methods of forming oral care mouthpieces. A disclosed oral care mouthpiece includes a base shaped to a dental arch. The base elastically deforms in response to pressure variations in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece also includes a set of one or more supports attached to the base and placed to allow the base to elastically deform in response to the pressure variations in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece also includes a set of oral care elements attached to the set of one or more supports and placed to transmit pressure to the dental arch when the base elastically deforms in response to the pressure variations in the mouthpiece.
DENTURE BRUSHER
A denture brush that includes a frame having a plurality of wall pieces disposed at an outer circumferential part of a flat plate-shaped base, and first bristle tufts are arrayed on the wall pieces, and second bristle tufts 6 are arrayed in a center region of the base, and third bristle tufts are arrayed on an outer circumferential side of the second bristle tufts. When the denture brush is not housed in a holder, the wall pieces are positioned radially along the outer circumferential part of the base so as to be horizontal with respect to the base. When the denture brush is housed in the holder, the wall pieces are supported by a wall surface of a denture-brush-housing portion of the holder, and are positioned so as to stand upright with respect to the base.
Methods and devices for personalized dental care
A toothbrush device comprises a cleaner body that defines a cleaning cavity configured for receiving a set of teeth of a user. A powered driving mechanism is coupled to the cleaner body and is configured to impart driven movement to the cleaner body, thereby to effect cleaning of a set of teeth engaged with the cleaning cavity. The cleaner body can be uniquely customized for a specific user, the cleaning cavity being substantially complementary in shape only to the corresponding set of teeth of the specific user. Cleaning elements can be arranged non-uniformly in the cleaning cavity to define focus areas corresponding to identified dental problem areas unique to the specific user.
All-at-once, teeth-surrounding oral cleaning device and methods
Hands-free devices adapted for rapid brushing, cleaning and treating users' teeth are provided. In some embodiments, such a device comprises brushes for cleaning each of a user's teeth simultaneously. In some embodiments, such a device is generally U-shaped, accepting, cleaning and/or treating all of a user's teeth simultaneously. In some embodiments, a device is adapted to fit an individual user, based on 3-dimensional imaging. Example customized fluid jets within such devices are provided, introducing dentifrices and other treatments into tooth-conforming channels. In some embodiments, specialized handles are set forth, configured for hands-free use. Example methods and modes for such devices' use are also set forth. In some embodiments, compartments and cartridges with a proprietary form factor for delivering dentifrice and other treatments and for disposing of waste without mess are provided. In some embodiments, observational data are gathered, analyzed and serve as the basis for a treatment action plan.
Devices and methods for oral hygiene
This application relates to oral hygiene and/teeth cleaning devices and associated methods. The devices can be configured to have a shape that allows all or substantially all of a user's teeth to be cleaned at once. In some embodiments, the devices are configured to be useable, for example, without access to water or a bathroom. The devices can be used to freshen up and clean the user's mouth on-the-go. In some embodiments, the devices are disposable.
Method of Manufacturing a Pressure Chamber of a Dental Mouthpiece, Method of Manufacturing a Dental Mouthpiece, Pressure Chamber and Mouthpiece Manufactured with These Methods, Provided with These Methods, J-/U-Shaped Dental Mouthpiece, and Systems Comprising Said Mouthpieces
This application relates to method of manufacturing a pressure chamber of a dental mouthpiece; to a method of manufacturing a dental mouthpiece and pressure chamber; to a mouthpiece manufactured with these methods, provided with these methods; to J-/U-shaped dental mouthpiece; and to systems comprising said mouthpieces. The method of manufacturing a pressure chamber joins a frame part and a flexible wall part by over-moulding. The method of manufacturing a mouthpiece starts with an essentially flat member comprising pressure chambers, and is folded and bended into a J-shaped or U-shaped trough configuration. The J-/U-shaped mouthpiece may comprise a multiple of trough sections and be flexible to ride along a dental arch and has its handle coupling at the anterior end of the mouthpiece.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL IRRIGATION
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
Advanced oral hygiene force regulation and technique improvement apparatus and method
An apparatus and system for cleaning oral cavities via a device with predetermined optimally imposed methods to remove germs, bacteria, tartar and plaque, which have been clinically proven to cause gum disease and tooth loss, efficiently and with minimal abrasion to tooth enamel and gums. Variations of this disclosure include but are not limited to embodiments where the device utilizes any of the aforementioned components to achieve the intended function. However, a preferred embodiment of this disclosure comprises an electrically controlled magnetic field to allow optimal contact pressure in the mouth, a motion device capable of tracking motion coordinates to record daily cleaning methods and to inform recommendations and web enabled capability to store activity over time, a scrolling toothbrush and gum cleaning device or a stationary mouth guard device applying the same force dampening and applying technology in a more automated fashion.
BRUSHING PART AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE BRUSHING PART
A method for manufacturing a brushing part including the following steps: providing the support, pierced with through-holes, passing through the channel formed by the support; forming the tuft of bristles, by assembling a plurality of bristles by one end opposite the free end, so as to form a base of the tuft, so that a diameter of a section of the tuft, in a plane transverse to a direction of extension of the tuft, is greater than a diameter of a through-hole; merging the ends forming the base of the at least one tuft so that an extension of the merged zone in a direction transverse to the direction of extension of the at least one tuft is greater than an extension of the base in the transverse direction before the merging step; inserting the one tuft by force into one of the holes of the channel of the support, depositing glue and filling with resin.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement has a front side and a back side opposite the front side and an overall length extension between mutually opposite proximal and distal ends. A head of the implement, disposed at the proximal end, has at least one cleaning element extending from the front side. A handle is at least partially made from a material having a density higher than that of the head's material. The handle's cross-sectional area, extending substantially perpendicular to the overall length extension, has a height extension between the front and back sides. The implement has a center of gravity situated below an axis of rotation when the oral care implement is placed with its back side on a surface. The center of gravity is closer to the back side than to the front side of the implement when measured along the height extension of the handle.
